(from Consulting & Industry)   - Return of Income, Tax audit, transfer pricing requirements and wealth tax returns   - Accounting/Statutory requirements   - Internal Information settlement   - Accounting tool such as SAP  Function: The position exists as a support function to the department to fulfill statutory obligations applicable to the company. It operates within the framework of Direct Tax laws with the objective optimizing direct tax liabilities and to safeguard against direct tax exposure and ensuring statutory compliance.  Contacts: Tax authorities, senior counsels and advocates, External Auditors, Consultants, Commercials, Marketing/ Sales group commercials, Works, CF, Accounts, Personnel, HR, Internal Audit and other Divisions Group companies both domestic and international.  Following with Income tax department:  - The incumbent should be CA with knowledge of Income Tax Act and Provisions, FEMA, recent case laws etc.   - Knowledge of Accounting and Finance and Indian GAAP, USGAAP / IFRS, Commercial concepts, knowledge of Income tax act, Wealth tax act, DTAA, Business understanding.  - Essentials: Should have at least 6-7 years exposure in various areas including Tax/ Accounts/ Finance / Commercial functions and 4-5 years experience in direct tax.
