They are the largest manufacturers & World Leaders in their field. Our clients have a Global turnover exceeding Rs.20,000 crores. Our clients are on a rapid transformation phase and hope to grow very rapidly in the next few years. Our clients seek to recruit a young, dynamic & experienced Sales professional to be based in Mumbai and head the sales function of a product group for India and neighbouring countries. The position reports to the Director-India Operations. Our clients offer excellent salary/perks as per industry norms & commensurate with experience.

Overall Job Profile:

Responsible for all sales activities in India. Manage the product business in India. Work with global, regional, and local teams to develop business goals for India & attain those goals. Lead the India team in executing the market plans and achieving goals. Deliver in the short term with the overarching goal of establishing a broader platform for sustainable future growth in India.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Responsible for market development for the local market. Includes everything from increasing sales/share of existing offerings to identifying new product opportunities leveraging all categories.

Role is responsible for developing marketing and sales plans for existing offerings and work with the global marketing and business management team to implement strategies on a local level

Manage existing distribution/agent relationships; evaluate existing partners and develop recommended channel/sales approach to the variety of markets our clients serve. Role will have day to day responsibility to ensure the performance of the distributor partners.

Develop and manage appropriate warehousing and logistics capabilities to enable and maximize our client's commercial presence including developing local stock points for select growth products as well as building capability for effective supply performance for the local market

Perform competitive intelligence in the local market to improve understanding of both local and global competitors

Work with the global technology team to help establish research and development partnerships to further our client's internal research efforts. This includes assisting the global team with the identification and selection of potential partners, and serving as the country representative and relationship manager of the local partners.

Work with global product management team to support project analysis related to potential production of products in India or make/buy partnerships with local companies.

Candidate Profile: Chemical Engineer (preferably MBA) aged 32-38 with 9-16 years experience in sales management in specialty Chemicals, Coatings, Plastics, Adhesives, Master batches, Polymer organisations currently at National role. Team management experience of 3-6 years. Working experience in international business environment and/or foreign MNC with a matrix organization preferred. Proven track record as a Sales Individual.
