Resources Analytics - Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaboration: Work with the concerned SE and SM to assist in developing It’s practice in the Resources Analytics area of Operations Analytics. The role envisages both business development and service delivery responsibilities with stronger focus on delivery.

Engagement Management: 

- Would lead multiple consulting engagements that focus on delivering business benefits in the resources/utilities area.

- The engagements would involve modeling complex solutions, developing and presenting operational recommendations to clients, and working with clients through implementation of the recommendations.

- Additionally, the role would require strong support for pre-sales as well as creation of re-usable assets and publications based on past projects.

- The work demands candidates that are capable of operating on multiple work-streams with minimal functional guidance to deliver results. The roles would be based out of India but may require extended travel and stay overseas and in India as per company policy.

- Business Development: Lead / be a part of pursuit teams for scoping the opportunity, shaping the proposal. Develop / maintain relationships with key client personnel.

- Domain Development: Understands It's offerings in the Resources and utilities space and work with the concerned SM & SE to tailor them to client requirements. Assist in developing point-of-view, research or white papers, and support development of marketing collateral, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals. 

- People Development: Support the people development initiatives to enable growth. Perform role of counselor and coach to team members, participate in recruitment and other activities.

Experience Required - Competencies and Characteristics:

- Very good understanding of Energy, Oil & Gas Industry experience (Upstream, Midstream and downstream)

- Consulting/Advanced Analytics experience in areas of Energy Industry (Oil & Gas Upstream, B2B segment)

- Exposure to North American, European and UK Oil & Gas Industry and Market

- Must be comfortable working with client teams and interacting closely with middle / senior management executives in a range of environments

- Should demonstrate a team oriented and collaborative approach, and excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written communication capabilities

- The individual should have successful track record of delivering results to Resources/Utility companies (either as a part of consulting or industry experience), preferably in India and in the private sector

- The individual should be self-driven and have strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts

Experience:

- A minimum of 8-10 years of overall experience (Industry + consulting)

- Strong forecasting, predictive analytics experience, should have worked on statistical tools like SAS, SPSS and minitab etc.

- Preference for candidates who have consulting background in addition to industry experience. Consulting experience should ideally include a mix of sales and delivery roles

- Understanding and appreciation of the overall industry dynamics and key trends affecting the industry

- Good understanding and work experience in the Resource/Utility Industry

- The individual should have a deep understanding of the Resources/Utility sector in India - overall industry dynamics, issues, typical challenges faced by clients and an appreciation of operational aspects of the sector.

What we are not looking for - Resource with only line function experience in PSU / SEB’s

Other Requirements/Education:

- Ideal candidates would have an engineering degree with an MBA from Tier 1 B School (Preferably IIMS, IITs)

- A doctoral degree in the area of Resources/Utility is preferred.

Preferred: US/UK/European Experienced Profiles (Onshore experience preferred)

- Excellent communication skills and executive presence as this is executive position

- Should be open 40% Travel in a year
