Role: Manager

- In this role, the Project Analyst for the GL Project Team will have the responsibility of working with the GL Project Manager/Project Work stream lead to deliver on key projects supporting General Ledger, MIS, and other Finance related events.

- The Project Analyst will interact with GL Operations, GL Technology, FRD Operations, other Finance Project Teams, other Global Finance Operations and Technology areas and Corporate Reporting to drive the GL Business Requirements through from Requirements gathering to Design/Build/Test/Go Live.

As a Project Analyst under the guidance of the FRD Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring on time delivery of all business project deliverable throughout the project life cycle including but not limited to:

- Create & manage project plans

- Obtain & document business requirements by interacting with FRD Ops, FRD Technology, other Finance Project Work streams, other Global Finance Operations and Technology areas and Corporate Reporting stakeholders

- Understand a detail FRD workflow & the project impacting/ enhancement area

- Generation of process flow diagrams and other required documentation where applicable

- Conduct significant financial account data mining/ analysis to support recommendations & necessary action items.

- Maintain partnership with the Client, FRD Technology and Operations on the Design, Build and Testing of requirements;

- Assist clients with FRD process and content;

- Develop and execute test plans / test scripts; Assist in preparing status reports; and Assist in managing the overall project governance.

- Able to identify best practices & linkages in various projects and bring standardization for testing and reporting

- Ability to understand GL reporting systems from a user perspective and convert them into enhancements / project requirements

- Provide oversight to BAU teams for critical issues to identify issues which could have a strategic impact on the GL

Key Attributes:

- Data mining skills utilizing various report writers, Oracle developer tools, attaching tables via MS Access, manipulating interfaces through VBA, etc. to retrieve data for analysis.

- Experience with utilizing SQL, SQL Server, MS Access & MS Power-point in assisting an ongoing need to analyze data.

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

- Bachelor’s Degree and PMP

- Background in Financial Accounting with fair accounting skills preferred.

- 8+ years professional experience; including 3+ years of project experience

- Willing to work in night shift.

- Strong data mining, problem solving, & analytical skills with ability to summarize findings

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Proficiency with standard desktop applications including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Access, VBA, SQL, DBA

- Familiarity with SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems
