Product development Manager - Home Care is responsible for conceptualizing and leading new product development, by providing scientific / technical / operational direction. The Manager is also responsible for setting quality standards and evaluating manufacturing units to ensure compliance required for the Home care products, and coordinate with key stakeholder in the organization and outside organization during the process. Also be able to create a knowledge base for Home Care for the organization. Should be a subject matter expert for Home care Category.   Key Responsibilities-  - To lead & develop innovative concepts in home care category  - To develop formulations based on the market demand and that can fit home care category  - To drive cost savings initiatives across product value  - Deep experience in interacting with major fragrance house who have the expertise in Home care product fragrances  - Thorough knowledge on evaluation & finding suitability of fragrance in Home care products  - Good knowledge on NPD processes - if handled Microsoft project, advantage  - Deeper understanding of consumer behavior and experiences  - Knowledge on product cost calculation - added advantage  - Hands on experience in Tech transfer of Home Care products from lab level to Manufacturing level  - Experience in on-job & remote location trouble shooting in the manufacturing  - Guiding & directing specification of product to new vendor / manufacturing unit   - Active participation with Quality team during tech transfer of new products  - Develop the finished product specification for all new products   - Ability to analyse the intricacies of the new raw materials before introducing them to the New product  - Able to co-ordinate with Raw material suppliers and third party manufacturers  - Experience in co-creation with Marketing team and Packaging development team during new product development  - Experience in market visits and consumer interactions related to Home care products.   - Knowledge to carry out independently the costing of the developed products  Educational Qualifications- M.Sc. in Chemistry / M.Tech in Cosmetic technology  Experience Required- 6 to 10 years of experience in FMCG industry with a specific experience of at least 3 to 4 years of experience in the field of Home Care New product development
