Position : Procurement Manager

Experience : 10 - 15 yrs.

Specialization : Logistics, Purchasing / Sourcing, Supply Chain Management

Job Function : Materials / Logistics / Supply Chain Mgmt / Procurement

Industry : Plastic processing / Manufacturing

Qualification : Post Graduation in Supply chain / procurement management, Any Post Graduate, School & Graduation, Engineering background will be preferred

Level : Middle - Manager, Assistant Manager

Key Skills :

To plan and manage procurement activities, so as to procure high quality products and services at optimum cost and delivery time in accordance with agreed business

Job Details :

Key responsibilities and accountability :

- Procurement planning and execution

- Managing vendor database with updated price lists, lead time, payment terms etc

- Managing suppliers, relationships, service level agreements

- Effective proactive liaison with other departments such as

Sales : For pre-sales assistance and proposal preparation,

Engineering : for procurement of right quality items at right time,

Finance : for Accounts Payable Management,

QA : For Vendor evaluation and registration.

- Negotiating and administration of purchasing contracts

- Cost saving budgeting and targeting

- Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management

- Shipping and Logistics management

- International procurement issues ( imports, exports, legal ) awareness and management.

- Contract Administration and Management of corporate contracts such as Building maintenance contracts, Travel agency contracts, Insurance contracts, IT services contracts etc.

- Vendor Management throughout the life cycle of Automation projects: Vendor registration, receiving quotations, job execution, delivery, start-up and after sales services.

- Ensuring vendor quality and delivery schedule by periodic vendor inspection and audits.
