Ensure efficient functioning of the OU's so that Operational & Sales targets are achieved. This will be done through:

Business Plan, Budgeting and Monitoring:

- Planning & Finalization of AOP (Annual Operating Plan)

- Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.

- Ensure Operations are within budget by ensuring management, planning, systems and control of Operating Budgets.

- Provide support for operational systems and processes to realize organization's mission specifically

- support better management reporting

- information flow and management

- business process and

- Organizational planning.

Logistics & Distribution Management:

- Ensure proper coordination with supply chain team to ensure the availability of adequate stocks that will include:

a) Forecasting & Demand Planning in coordination with Operating Units and Supply Chain Manager

- Timely and cost efficient movement and clearance of materials.

- Ensure pre-importation documentation is in place to ensure efficient movement and clearance of materials.

- Optimise Stock availability and ensure zero stock outs of materials.

- Ensure Physical stock verification is conducted at regular periods and numbers validated to ensure accuracy.

- Negotiation of optimum rates for air/ sea/ surface transportation with service providers

- Liaison with Inspection Agencies like BIVAC/SGS/Cotecna for efficient inspections.

- Work closely with all relevant Business Heads based in UAE, India, China and Africa in order to ensure seamless supply of stocks at warehouses.

- Support OUs in Inventory Management including efficient distribution to all locations as per defined norms.

- Monitor Stock Levels, plan delivery timetables and track movement of goods.

- Ensure /assist OUs in developing /maintaining/locating warehouses as per GSP and or norms set by policy.

Internal Policy/ Process Control:

- Development of standard operating procedures for all operating processes and documentation of the same at OU and Country levels.

- Reviewing existing procedure and processes and propose new/ refined processes

- Implement policies on the functioning of the operating unit and its branches and ensure that all concerned are adhering to them.

- Ensure adherence of GSDP (Good Storage & Distribution Practices)

Risk Management:

- Ensure all property and interest of the Organisation is adequately protected by appropriate means.

- Reduce the events of financial fraud in any manner by any person - internal or external to the Organisation.

- Insurance of all properties are covered including Marine/All Risk/Fire/Burglary/Fidelity etc.

- Ensure processing of Insurance claims in case of incidents causing loss to the Organisation.

People Management:

- Regular interactions with the operation managers to ensure proper understanding and team spirit is inculcated

- Ensure adequate trained personnel are available at OUs for efficient functioning.

- Training and skill enhancement of personnel at all OUs

- Mentoring and succession planning at all levels.

Other activities:

Support OUs in terms of:

- Infrastructure requirement including locating warehouses conforming to GSP

- Efficient Sourcing of items like generators, vehicles, Air conditioning etc.

- Any other service /support that may be required to ensure efficient functioning of OUs.

Should have exposure to African Market. And open to travel.
