Manager- Material Planning, sourcing and supplier development  Responsibilities :  - Production Planning (Material requirement) against BOM, Firm Production plan (material requirement) for ensuing month + tentative plan for next 3 months  - Material planning & Releasing of Purchase order (Direct Material), Based on Production plan (material requirement) Material planning should be done considering Store stock, Pending order (in transit) and under inspection with safety stock & rejection. Accordingly release purchase orders.  Sourcing Strategy & Implementation : Develop & implement sourcing strategy for enhancement of bargaining power and for getting best Q,C,D. Develop multiple / alternate suppliers as needed for the purpose  ABC analysis while Ordering : While ordering the raw material reports like ABC analysis & Average consumption to be taken and materials should be ordered based on ABC ratings  Tracking of Deliveries against Purchase orders : To run Exception report on every Saturday or daily to monitor and control the receipts of material in time against the released / pending Pos  - Negotiations & Price Settlement to get best Q, C, D terms for the company (Direct, Indirect, CG, S/C) : Get quotations from potential suppliers and negotiate (or arrange to negotiate) to get best Q,C,D Terms. Make recommendation to Management on Supplier Selection & PO Placement.  MIS report : Preparing MIS reports  - Preparation of Annual report on PRT performance after the end of March  Sub-contractor : Visits and resolving the issues  Continuous Vendor Performance Improvement : To continuously improve vendor performance based on audits, performances on Q,C,D. Conduct vendor audit in co-ordination with the team and prepare the audit findings. Circulate the same to the vendor to make CAPA for the NC reports found  Logistics : Manage transportation of import material  Bill Passing : Clearing the bills for payment  Placement of Purchase Order (Indirect, CG, S/C) : Placement of Purchase Order as per best negotiated Terms & Conditions and as per Management Approval  Liquidating Non-moving & Slow moving material : Based on Non-moving & slow moving material report generated by Stores, action to be taken to liquidate those items to reduce the inventory  Key Result areas include :  - Timely Delivery (Direct, Indirect & CG) : On Time as per PO terms  - Stock Out to avoid the stock out situation for the responsible areas  Inventory Control : To monitor and control Inventory as per norms to increase the Inventory Turnover ratio (RM) to 20  - Price negotiation. Achieve best Q,C,D terms from suppliers. Achieve Targeted Cost Book / Cost Savings  - Price tracking & control (Direct Material); Control / continuously reduce the buying price to meet targeted Cost Reduction / Cost Budget  - Slow / Non Moving Stock, Maintain within set targets  Multiple sourcing : To find out multiple source in case of single source and in case of 2 to 3 sources find out an extra source to have smooth flow of material  - Zero Defects / Rejections in procured material  - PRT Processing Times as per Management approved norms / targets for different Processes:  - Identification of potential suppliers & getting quotes  - Negotiations, Supplier Finalization & Placement of PO  - Bill Passing, Payment  - Vendor Rating Score, Target (Q,C,D )  - All Vendor Audit Actions to be closed within stipulated time  - Inward Frieght Cost - Budget / Cost Target  Sourcing Strategy Implementation - Achievement of Multi-souring Plan/Target
