Job Description for the position of Legal Manager

Litigation Management:

- Handling litigation for the company within the zone, which will include making Briefs of Cases, Brief Advocates & attend Court Cases; reduction in pending litigation and costs

Legal Guidance:

- Track compliance of various Legislations & Guidelines issued by the Corporate

- Provide guidance to Commercial on legal aspects of Marketing laws, consumer activation, promotions and customer related activities; advice HODs and Business associates on various Legal issues; upgrade legal awareness of Business associates on various Laws from time to time.

Legal Action:

- Take action against Counterfeiters; draft notices and reply to the same; help the business in the recovery of old debts from the distributors within the zone

- Recovery through litigations and pre litigations proceedings

- Garment Factory Compliance

- Use of IP & handling various civil & criminal and litigation,compliance matter across the group in the country & Exports

- MIS and Legal Database Maintenance

- Regular discussions and with statutory and judicial authorities to remain updated on amendments

- Regular quality assessment of solicitors

- Appropriate handling incoming legal notices and summons

- Regional Centralization of filing litigations and pre litigation proceedings & In housing Legal Activities

- Develop a stronger and more diverse bench strength and Maintain high level of engagement with solicitors

- Engagement Reviews and Career Discussions and Raise the bar on performance management

- Quality and process initiatives carried out or suggested to central team

- Compliance to code of Conduct

Qualification: LLB / LLM

Work Experience: 8 to 12 years

Job Location: Mumbai (Lower Parel Head Office)

CTC offered: 10 lakhs to 12 lakhs per annum
