Manager - Legal - BFSI

A leading Corporate Investment Bank is looking to hire a Manager - Legal, supporting the Head of Legal in all matters.

The duties are -

- Scrutinizing and approval of legal documentation and guarantees.

- Providing legal assistance to the international network.

- Providing legal assistance for drawing up documentation.

- Supervising documentation and guarantees to cover the credit risks.

- Liason with lawyers/ external solicitors for instituting legal proceedings and obtaining recoveries of dues.

- Co-ordination with Credit Administration for completion of documentation custody.

- Maintains a library on legal issues affecting the Bank.

- Executing documents in relation to a legal matter on behalf of the Bank.

- Negotiating and drafting ISDA schedules with Counterparties.

- To provide advice, draft and vet documents in relation to Trade Finance, security documents, treasury documentation and guarantees and counter-guarantees.

- To draft, approve and vet letters of intent and leave and license agreements for residential premises on behalf of certain employees and renewals thereof.

- Representing Bank in all legal matters/court cases.

- To prepare and submit various reports to RBI or Head Office or any other regulatory authorities.

- To study and research different legal topics and prepare Memo’s/Notes.

Qualifications -

- Law Graduate with 4-8 years' of corporate law experience in the Banking industry

- Should have good understanding of Corporate Banking and related legal issues

- Should be well-versed with Documentation related to agreements, guarantees, and other aspects of Commercial Banking
