Organization :

- A development sector investments and advisory firm supporting Inclusive Innovations in South Asia and Africa is looking to hire a Manager for its new cross country innovation facility. The Manager will be working closely with Indian technology and social innovators, governments, leading multilaterals and bilaterals and large corporations in multiple geographies of South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. This role involves a strong mix of strategic analysis and execution.

About the Manager :

- The company is looking for a dynamic, diverse professional who is passionate about making a difference, possess exceptional analytical skills, and thrive in an entrepreneurial setting.

- The candidate will have an exciting opportunity to work directly with the Indian social enterprises as well as the local ecosystem partners and governments in multiple South Asian or African countries. A manager is expected to establish trusted advisor relationship with client, mentoring high-performing early career professionals (Associates) and developing expertise in the technology and social innovation space.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Work closely with the core team in India and implementation partners in other developing countries to implement the facility

- Lead primary and secondary analysis of the social Innovation landscape of developing markets.

- Constantly be on top of new innovations through research and attending key forums and convenings.

- Work as a key leadership team member of the innovation and help them structure the right business, operational and financial expansion plan.

- Engage with government bodies, high commissions, Corporate and development partners at strategic and execution levels.

- Structure ideas, create business case and lead on-ground implementation of initiatives.

- Lead the development of data driven tool-kits, frameworks and decision-making metrics to model the approaches and inform stakeholders.

- Focus on bringing private sector led approaches to social development.

- Monitor, budget and control the implementation process to ensure adherence to timelines.

- Identify opportunities for business expansion by reaching out to known client contacts and business development activities.

Interested candidates should have :

- Post graduation degree in business, economics, international development or a related field from a reputed Indian or international institution.

- At least 5 years of work experience in consulting, business development, finance or technology start-ups.

- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - ability to develop frameworks around concepts and to make automated worksheets on excel.

- Proactive approach and ability to work with minimum supervision.

- Willingness to take initiatives and lead them to closure.

- Passion to work in the technology and innovation space.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Excellent client handling skills, willingness to work and interact with diverse stakeholders.

- Willingness to travel to other developing countries.
