Job Title:Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Department: Finance

Duties And Responsibilities:

- Develop financial models to support analysis of a variety of financial and operating activities

- Assist in developing long range financial plans

- Prepare the annual operating budget

- Develop financial forecasts for operations and investments

- Assist with analyzing opportunities for business expansion and new business opportunities

- Provide analysis of financing alternatives to develop appropriate short term and long term capital structure

- Analyze capital investments and maintain the company's capital management software and projections

- Monitor spending for major capital projects

- Communicate with department heads to understand and explain variances and trends

- Analyze departmental operations and understand profitability aspects of their activities

- Develop financial and operational reports for company management and board of directors

- Prepare financial presentations for board and committee meetings and resident meetings

- Assist in development and preparation of an annual report for Emerald Heights

- Analyze actuarial models for pricing decisions (entrance fees and monthly service fees)

- Benchmark company's financial and operating results against industry performance

- Monitor performance of the company's stock and bond investment portfolio

- Monitor and forecast cash flow and loan covenants

- Resident financial matters: analyze new resident financial applications, review financial assistance applications, assist with applications for bond set aside units

- Provide financial information to external business partners (actuary, banks, insurance broker, investment banker, consultants, development partners, auditors, investment advisors, etc.)

- Assist with annual insurance renewal and researching insurance questions and coverage

- Assist with monthly and annual closing of accounting books

- Assist with annual financial statement audit

- Liaison to Resident Fund Development Committee for fund reporting and communication

- Assist with various fund development activities- gift annuity programs, planned giving, resident education events and presentations.

Educational Qualification: CA | ICWA | MBA (Finance)
