Qualifications & Experience: Qualified CA with 3-7 years of experience.

Group Profile: Financial Accounting and Reporting Group (FARG)

FARG is responsible for financial statements, review of accounting policies and accounting of foreign branches prepared as per Indian GAAP (including consolidated financial statements), consolidated accounts, regulatory reporting and US GAAP of the Bank. The Group ensures that the Bank prepares the financial statements in compliance with extant guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India and the accounting standards issued by ICAI.

The US GAAP financial statements are prepared based on the accounting standards and pronouncement issued by the FASB. The financial statements prepared under both the GAAPs along with the performance review of the Bank are presented to the Audit Committee. The Group is also involved in implementing IFRS across for the Bank. FARG finalises accounting policies and provides accounting guidance on various products and services across the Bank and its branches.

Purpose of the Job :

- To handle a team responsible for preparation of quarterly financial statements and submission of data for regulatory returns

Key deliverables :

- Team leader in IGAAP team; responsible for preparation of financial statements and providing opinion on accounting issues

- Preparation of financial statements including cash flow statement, notes to accounts etc.

- Analysis of RBI notifications, other regulatory guidelines, ICAI opinion etc. with a view of identifying impact on the accounting/financial statements of the Bank

- Preparing and submitting MIS reports on monthly performance of the Bank including key ratios, variance analysis etc. Also includes schedule analysis, trending of trial balance etc. and identifying reasons for variation

- To work with Technology team for automation of various reports/activities

- Facilitating statutory and internal audit, compilation and submission of data for RBI inspection, other regulatory authorities

- Review of accounting for new products/processes in the Bank

- Providing opinion on accounting issues to Operation teams

- Comparison of financial statement presentation and disclosures with Peer banks

Key skills and Knowledge Requirements :

- Good knowledge of accounting standards, Companies Act, 2013 and other accounting guidelines
