Job Description - Manager - Finance  Position Title : Manager (Female candidates are preferred)  Function, Responsibility Level : Operations, Manager   Reports to: Service Delivery Leader / Site Ops Director, Finance processes  Span of Control : Managing 3 or more processes   Basic Function :   Manage the accounting processes. Responsible for supervisory support to associate accountants through transaction monitoring to deliver results as per SLA targets and timelines. Produce weekly open item reports. Review and approve monthly reconciliation statements. Ensure functioning of the reconciliation processes as per accounting principles.  Performance parameters :   Process performance - as per agreed KPIs.  Employee retention - as per agreed KPIs.  Quality and productivity Improvement - as per agreed KPIs.  Customer Satisfaction - as per agreed KPIs.  Level of subject matter expertise - as per agreed KPIs.  Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by Supervisor.  Role/Responsibility :   - Manage teams and ensure quality and productivity targets are met.  - Daily work allocation to team members.  - Motivate team members and control attrition.  - Monitor transactions on an ongoing basis and take corrective steps where necessary or make incremental improvements.  - Monitor and deliver on agreed service level metrics.  - Provide coaching and feedback to team members to enable them to improve their performance.   - Assist new hires such that they are productive on the floor in the shortest possible time frame  - Handle escalations.  - Provide inputs on process and system to the team members.  - Client Interaction, where required at the level of Supervisors.  - Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, external regulations and information security standards.  - Collect and provide data required for various audits like ISO/COPC etc.  - Ensure that all associate accountants in the process know their goals and how they are linked to the Organization's quality policy.  - Effectively manage research/resolution/follow-ups for closure of open items.  Competencies & Skills :   - Knowledge of the function, process and systems.  - Ability to use the desktop computer systems and MS Office suite.  - Problem solving skills.  - Strong Analytical skills.  - Conflict resolution skills.  - Coaching and Feedback ability.  - People management skills.  - Good written and verbal communication, proficiency in English language.  - Interpersonal communication.  - Prioritization and time management skills.  Values & Behavior :   - Customer Service Orientation.  - Quality Orientation.  - Empathy for effective on the job coaching and feedback.  Primary Internal Interactions :   - Associate accountants for monitoring performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, and providing feedback and support.  - Manager and AVP/VP for the purpose of settling issues left unresolved by self and monthly evaluation of performance.  - Other UMs for the purpose of seeking cooperation and best practice sharing.  - Subject Matter Expert for the purpose of work thread related issues and escalated transactions.  - QCA for the purpose of feedback and audit.  - Trainers for the purpose of Pre-process and Process training.  Primary External Interactions :   - SME / Trainers at the client end for training.  - Banks all over the client home country for follow-up work for closure of open unreconciled accounting items.  - Client's various lines of businesses for follow-up work for closure of open unreconciled accounting items.  Education Requirements :   Graduate in Accounting / Commerce / Business Administration with at least 15 years of education. CA preferred/ MBA in Finance   Work Experience Requirements :   Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience in BPO / Banks or Insurance industry. Prior supervisory experience in related functions preferable. Female candidates are preferred.
