Asia Network Manager

Position title: Network Manager for AsiaPac

Organization and main missions

Attached to AsiaPac Operations Department, you are responsible for the management of the Network Department for the SGCIB Asia Operations perimeter.

- Your role will be to develop a strong relationship with our external providers, to integrate, understand and assess all the business aspects and requirements as well as ensuring the quality of the set-up in link with the Paris Network guidelines, prices and quality.

- Your internal clients will mainly be the Front-Office (COO, traders), AsiaPac Middle-office and Back-office and obviously the network department in Paris.

In this function, you will have for overall responsibility:

- To develop a strong knowledge of the current set-up

- To manage the relationship and providers performance (Quality and Pricing)

- To manage and follow the purchase of financial services (negotiation, drafting and signing of contracts in collaboration with the team of lawyers dedicated and the Regional Oper management )

- To follow the industry changes (markets, exchanges) to ensure appropriate decisions and evolution

- To participate actively to the operational model evolution

- To develop the Global Network Management with Network in Paris and NY

You must also bring your core value on:

- Redefining the expected level of service when appropriate

- Proposing innovative solutions detected on the market.

This function is linked hierarchically to the Heard of Treasury & listed Products Operations for Asiapac.

Location: (Hong-Kong)

Major Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities:

More specifically your role will involve the following functions and responsibilities:

- Forward communication from providers to Front-offices and Back-Offices (markets news, reports)

- Maintain accurate set-up contacts lists (providers and SG) as well as escalation contacts list

- Coordinate and develop strong Regional hub relationship with providers: Clearer, Custodians, Brokers and Market infrastructures (Exchanges, Clearing Houses and Central Security Depositaries).

- Develop in strong link with Paris and the US, the Global Network Management (regular meetings and yearly workshops/seminars)

- Manage and follow claims processes if any with our providers

- Ensure day-to-day support to Front-office and Back-Offices

- Validate opening and closing of any account (Bank Accounts/Nostro’s/Custodians)

- Ensure the circularization

- Ensure knowledge and understanding of all fee schedules for the existing providers

- Develop and maintain knowledge of the business needs, evolution, in link with FO COO (regular meetings to be scheduled)

- Validate any Fees schedule

- Develop knowledge around the Fees processes (payments, controls and reconciliation)

- Manage and process the Request For Proposal (RFP) and due Diligence on AsiaPac perimeter

- Negotiate fees with Custodians and Brokers when appropriate

- Publish and maintain purchasing guidelines and standards for Asiapac set-up in link with Paris Dept

- Define and follow the service quality levels from our providers (SLA) through regular ranking, service reviews, costs analysis, simulations and benchmarks

- Benchmark providers (quality & price)

- Act as a partner with the Global Network Management Team to face providers as one firm

- Develop a AsiaPac Network dashboard and organize appropriate communication

- Liaise with ITEC dept on developments related to Network processing (Fees, referential)

- Develop and maintain transversal documentation on the Network perimeter

Education:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.

Experience required:

- Relevant Network Management industry experience will definitely be a plus.

- Experience with Investment Banking business and the Banking and Custodial industry.

- Management experience.

Key skill areas required:

- Autonomy to guarantee the proper execution of its mission

- Strong analytical skills

- Detail-oriented

- Negotiation skills

- Strong desktop skills, especially Excel and Power Point

- Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills

- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written)

- Good documentation skills

- Proven ability to partner with others in the organization outside their sphere of influence

- Client and quality focus

Functional Relationships:

- Work closely with the AsiaPac Front-office, WW Back-Offices, IT dept, Paris Networks department, External providers (Custodians, Exchanges).
