Position :"Manager - Accounts & Company Secretary  LOCATION : Mumbai  Experience level : 10 + years  MUST HAVE :   - Should be from a commodity industry back ground  - CA and CS degree is a must  - Zero experience in CS will do  - CA experience required  PURPOSE :   - The Manager Accounts & Company Secretary is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting along with Organising meetings of the Board of Directors and other Secretarial Matters and ensuring compliance under the Companies Act 2013.This position will be responsible for maintaining accounting for particular products/Commodities, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial Reporting.  - This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including preparation, financial reporting, audit preparationand the support of budget and forecast activities.  - The Manager Accounts & Company Secretary will have contact with senior-level Managers and the Companies Directors/Traders which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.  RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES :  - Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.  - Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, and year end close.  - Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.  - Preparation of product wise profit and Loss Account, product wise Interest Calculation.  - Supports budget and forecasting activities.  - Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.  - Responds to inquiries from the Director /Traders, and other finance and Company wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.  - Organising meeting of the Board of Directors / Shareholders, drafting Agenda for the meetings, issue communications to the Directors, make available information to the Directors for preparation of the meetings, record the final minutes and obtain chairmans signature. Filing of Statutory returns under the Companies Act, 2013.  - Dealing with the Auditors of the Company during the finalisation of Accounts, provide them the statutory registers for audit and resolve the querries raised during Audits.   - Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.  - Ensuring Corporate Social Responsibility Compliances under the Companies Act, 2013.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :  Education :   Chartered Accountant cum CS  Technical Skills and Prior Experience :  prior experience in the financial reporting and preparation of Accounts and Secretarial Matters. Experience working in a similar Industry is preferred.  Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Experience with Navision or other large automated ERP accounting system a plus.
