Core Purpose Of The Job:
- Responsible for understanding, analyzing and continuously suggesting online marketing teams areas of improvement, concerns and opportunities.
- Creating and managing periodic dashboards/presentations to monitor the performance of online marketing.
- Identifying and exploring cross business and device opportunities.
Areas Of Responsibility (AOR) :
Implementation, Reporting & adhoc analytics :
- Back-end implementation changes and front-end report design
- Summarize key insights for select reports which are delivered to stakeholders instead of just data dumps
- Work closely with the Online Marketing Team to continuously improve tracking and reporting capabilities. Support the analytic needs of Online marketing by analyzing web traffic using clickstream tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture etc. and Publisher Reports.
- Standardize metrics, reports, tracking across multiple departments/ reports
- Work on periodic (weekly/monthly/daily) and adhoc report requests
- Prioritize requests for team member. Breakdown each request for team member to work on and be responsible for end to end quality of the reports/ adhoc requests
- Lead dashboard development & automation initiatives
Cross Business and Device Opportunities :
- Identify key data points and metrics that help in identifying and measuring cross business and device opportunities.
- Launching pilot campaigns based on the above with relevant members of the online marketing team.
Training :
- Train key stakeholders on data availability as well as reporting methodologies and tools
- Organize periodic training's
Success Indicators :
- High on customer satisfaction (see key relationships below)
- Keen interest in implementation of latest developments within web analytics
- Accurate and timely reporting
- Proper documentation of the relevant data for the stakeholders
- No. of campaigns launched.
Educational Qualification: BE from a premier engineering college
Relevant Experience:
- 3Yrs - 6 Yrs years experience with minimum 1-3 years of web metrics analysis and reporting experience, including specific experience implementing and using web analytics tools, Intelligence OLAP tools, etc.
- Atleast 2-3 years of working with standard clickstream analysis tools: Google Analytics, Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends, CoreMetrics etc.
- Expertise in Omniture tracking and reporting
Functional Competencies :
- Knowledge of marketing for search
- Advanced skills in Excel and VBA
- Internet savvy/ecommerce-(Knowledge on all aspects of website -(text, graphics, images, designs, other common terminologies, technical aspects such as database-driven functionalities, general web functionality, Internet industry trends for all consumer marketing mediums e-commerce))
- Web analytics tool- Omniture
