We are looking for someone who will be responsible for spearheading /building the Marketing Analytics function for HotelTravel.com (a MakeMyTrip.com company) based out of Phuket, Thailand.
Job Description
- Will be directly responsible for optimizing Marketing budgets in tune of approx. 6-8 mill USD
- This role will also have complete ownership of certain marketing channels such as PPC, TripAdvisor, Trivago etc.
- Leverage smart analytics and data processing techniques to drive efficiency improvements in pay per click marketing performance across various platforms like Google, Yahoo!, TripAdvisor, Trivago etc.
- Develop summaries and recommendations towards budget allocation decisions
- Provide direction to develop closed loop bid management information systems for platforms such TripAdvisor and Trivago
- Manage PPC portfolios through automated bid management platforms
- Use automated methods (SQL, Macros, Python etc.) to carry out keyword clustering, ad copy generation etc.
- Use data mining techniques such as classification Trees, Logistic regression etc. to score response (CTR, Conv. Rate) potential and to identify messaging or product attributes that matter
- Leverage techniques such as ARIMA to understand multi-channel attribution
- Develop MIS dashboards to track channel performance trends
Qualifications:
- Quantitative background (BE (IIT, BITs or Top Tier a plus), B.Sc / BA Mathematics, Statistics, Economics), M.S in IE/Operations Research
- 4-6 years work experience in a quantitative industry such as analytics consulting (like AbsolutData, MuSigma, Inductis, ZS Associates)
- Data Interpretation skills should be good; high CAT scores of same will be a plus
- Advanced skills in Excel is mandatory (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, SumIFs, Arrays, Charting, Scenario Analysis, Solver)
- Experience with SQL is mandatory; VB scripting etc is a plus
- Grasp of Data mining techniques such as Logistic Regression, Lift Charts, Text Mining, Classification Trees, Factor Analysis will be a huge plus
- Grasp of forecasting techniques and ARIMA will be a huge plus
- Not necessary to have experience with Web Analytics solutions such as Omniture or Google analytics
- MBA not necessary; prior PPC experience not necessary
- Passport mandatory – International travel involved
