Personal Characteristics   - Charismatic personality with vision.   - Energy, ambition and positively motivated.  - Intellectually robust and graduate  - Results driven passion to succeed.  - Strong commercial and planning skills.   - Able to deal with ambiguity and cultural change.  - Prepared to drive change when and where needed.  - Keen negotiator, communicator and presenter of ideas.   - Should be person of proven integrity.   - Proven track record in the hospitality / construction industry  Job Summary :  ROLE FULFILLMENT :   The role shall plug in the gaps between the expected deliverables for the both present and future in terms of :   - Demand Planning for ongoing and future hotel requirements  - Co-ordination with operations, Finance, Suppliers and ensure smooth Functioning of all requirements.   - Meeting up with the deadlines for deliverables as per internal Customer requirements.  - Procuring, essential and common material requirements for operations and forthcoming projects, standardizing and optimizing costs.   KEY DELIVERABLE & ACCOUNTABILITY :   - Timely procurement of all items as per the requirement of user department.  - Vendor appraisals and Vendor development.   - Planning of material required for units  - Cost reduction.  - Team Development & Retention  - Collating MIS reports from all functions of procurement and reviewing on monthly basis Profile Competency  - The resource should be competent and dynamic with an in-depth exposure and domain experience in a variety of increasingly demanding roles, with knowledge and understanding of the Hospitality Industries. Candidates should possess prolific technical knowledge, professional & managerial skills.  - In addition they should have an impressive record of personal & career achievement gained with renowned Hospitality companies  - Should have gained good man-management skills and be able to head a team of resources working under him.   KEY TASKS :  - Conduct appropriate market research of the supply base for identifying new sourcing opportunities.  - Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability under various economic conditions  - Ensure pertinent information on market conditions, trends, prices, government regulations, etc. is properly disseminated to relevant personnel within the company.  - Formulating, standardizing and facilitate implementation of Processes and Procedures for Procurement functions across the organization.   - Liason with operations team to plan logistics for procuring required goods on time and as per the laid down standards and specifications.  - Manage sourcing process, including pre-qualifying suppliers, evaluation of supplier responses and negotiation with suppliers for packages.  - Responsible for all purchasing activities, including implementation and monitoring of purchasing processes and procedures   - Source, identify and purchase capital goods, FFE, Operational supplies required at the right quality and at a competitive price.   - Conduct periodic vendor appraisals and price comparisons  - Undertake negotiations with suppliers to deliver the best results for the company.   - Co-ordination with internal customers on a regular basis regarding requirements.   - Drive cost savings through superior logistics/planning at all levels of the procurement process.   - Work knowledge of import procedures (under EPCG)  - Should be willing to travel if required.  - Demand planning of material required for units in a scientific manner.   - To coordinate with C&F agents / Freight forwarders for dispatch and clearance of consignments.  - Give prime consideration to the company's interests while seeking to maintain and further long-term, mutually profitable, ethical supplier relationships.
