JD :   General Accounting :  - Ensure that Accounts are accurately prepared within timelines and in accordance with local regulations as well as Maersk GAAP (IFRS) and related accounting policies.  - Regular preparation and review of trial balance and various schedules giving break up of the required information.  - Review of AP and AR controls and ensure correct accounting and realization  - Accountable for system controls, adherence to the policies and SOPs of the GSC in all areas having a financial impact.  - Move from transaction controls to design controls and thus elevate the usage of system control framework to enhance the analytical capabilities of the Finance team.  Reporting and value add :  - Finalize all statutory reports and ensure appropriate filing.  - Provide inputs to various stakeholders on periodic basis on cost and headcount  - Participate in global GSC initiatives to provide transparency and guidance on various elements of cost.  - Provide appropriate site overviews and provide financial guidance / assistance to the GSC center head / other Admin teams on various issues  - Drive elimination of duplication in the system / practices and help automation to bring efficiency in the team  - Manage the team effectively providing overall guidance on adherence and conduct  - Coordinate with other GSC sites / other Global teams and align with the GSC practices   Tax and Compliance's :  - Ensure that details required for Tax Assessments are provided.  - Claims / refunds/ submission of returns under various statutory provisions are appropriately filed and followed up in a timely manner  - Strengthen governance  - Renewal of customs and STPI licenses.  Budgeting, Variance Analysis and Cost Controls :  - To drive the yearly budget process in accordance with guidelines from India GSC and CENGSC. This would require a good understanding of the business activity, its operation and close interaction with the business heads in validating budget assumptions. Regular monitoring of the budget v/s actual and related variance analysis reporting.  - The role is also expected to understand the key cost drivers and work with the relevant groups to ensure that our cost basis is always optimum.  Statutory and Audit Compliance :  - Preparation of schedules for Tax Audit and Statutory Audit.  - Ensure timely completion of all audits. Also coordinate internal control questionnaire audits, group internal audits, follow up on audit comments and assist in implementing corrective action wherever necessary.  - Facilitate BCO controls and ensure a green rating at all times.  - Facilitate GSC internal audit / reviews  - Timely preparation of reports to be submitted to STPI, Customs, Tax authorities and filing same after review by IND-MAN-Finance / CFO  - The role will require working very closely with INDGSC Finance Teams and will be expected to deliver within the standards, guidelines set by the INDGSC/CENGSC/ Global GSC Finance.  Finance Operations:  - Employee related payments and disbursements.  - Vendor related payments and disbursements.  - Funds and cash flow management  - Change management and policy implementation including awareness creation and driving user behavior.  Challenge of the job/problem solving:  - Timeliness, accuracy in reporting and coordination with business process managers  - People management  - Participate and manage global initiatives  Contact with others:  Internal: Business & Process Managers, local accounting staff, CENGSCFIN, Mgr  - Legal, secretarial and tax and Manager - MIS, Global GSC teams  External: Auditors, Banks and consultants  Who we are looking for   Knowledge & Qualifications :  - Chartered Accountant  - +7-8 years experience in Controllership function with exposure in STPI,  Customs and Taxation :  - Sound knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP And Indian GAAP,  - Good Understanding of audit and internal control systems, management reporting, accounting and financial reporting  Knowledge of systems required :  Critical:  - Knowledge of SAP, MS-Office especially Excel and PowerPoint  Training/Special Skills Required:  - Good drive for results, problem solving, priority setting and having good integrity and trust as also good listening skills
