Job Summary:  The principle purpose of the Lead Analyst, ADO is to enable the advanced analytical capabilities of the M&E organization at Lowe's. The Lead Analyst, ADO will work closely with business partners to define technical requirements, create project plans, identify data sources, build data integration processes, and implement these into new technical solutions. Additionally, the position will have responsibility for maintaining syndicated and ad-hoc reporting, ensuring data accuracy, multi-source data integration, and supporting the analytics teams.   In addition, the Lead Analyst, ADO is responsible for taking the lead on implementation projects, providing expertise in the problem analysis, implementation, and support phases. This individual is expected to stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, new methodologies, and coach Analysts & Senior Analysts in the team.  To accomplish this, the Lead Analyst, ADO must have a balance of business acumen and strong technical skills including demonstrated knowledge of analytic data concepts and tools, structured and unstructured database systems, application development, as well as data integration experience.  Responsibilities:  CORE RESPONSIBLITIES:  Builds and maintains the data infrastructure and supports analytical functions by providing data solutions; providing expertise in structured and unstructured data concepts. Demonstrating competency in data manipulation and analysis: accessing raw data in varied formats with different methods and analyzing and processing data; working with others to develop, refine and scale data management and analytics procedures, systems, workflows, best practices and other issues. Identifying areas that require analytic data solutions, helping to develop business cases for analytic data, and working with architects to develop analytic data solutions. Providing expert technical guidance for Data Analytics services including integration into existing technology and system management; performing development, support, and documentation for database and data integration solutions (including analysis, development, and support for file exchanges, application data integration, and data warehouse extract, transform, and load (ETL)  Incorporates new innovations into existing processes, such as report design and delivery, data integration, and application development by staying current on the technology landscape and industry trends from the perspective of a consultant and solution developer; proactively identifying new technology and capabilities; assisting in the technical management of initial implementations including proof-of-concepts and pilots; working with extended team to develop and maintain product roadmaps; researching new areas of analytic data usage and developing new case developments with Teradata's Emerging technologies; working as a developer and solution architect in large scale database technologies, including but not limited to: Teradata, Oracle, as well as exposure to at least one major Hadoop Distribution such as Cloudera or HortonWorks  Practices project management by serving as a liaison between business partners and IT; providing technical expertise in translating integration designs into integration development solutions; ensuring proper integration and system performance through verified unit, systems, and acceptance testing; developing detailed technical design of assigned projects, working with other team members; facilitating consumers in the selection of optimal service offerings based on business drivers; coordinating contract resources.  DATA:  Builds and maintains the data infrastructure and supports analytical functions by providing data solutions; providing expertise in structured and unstructured data concepts. Performs development, support, and documentation for database and data integration solutions. This includes analysis, development, and support for file exchanges, application data integration, and data warehouse extract, transform, and load (ETL). Leads development projects forecasting and analytic models and advanced reporting by maintaining a high level of expertise in these areas; being able to effectively communicate with team members and business partners.  INNOVATION:  Incorporates new innovations into existing processes, such as report design and delivery, data integration, and application development by staying current on the technology landscape and industry trends; proactively identifying new technology and capabilities. Assist in technical management of initial implementations including proof-of-concepts and pilots. Work with extended team to develop and maintain product roadmaps. The candidate will be exposed to a broad variety of emerging technologies in both a consultant as well as a solution development role.You are expected to be a key contributor as we ask you to research new areas of big data usage and develop new case developments with Teradata & Hadoop's Emerging technologies. Candidate must have experience in a solution architecture & development role in some kind of large scale database technologies, including but not limited to; Teradata, DB2, Oracle, as well as at least one major Hadoop Distribution such as HortonWorks or Cloudera.  PROJECT MANAGEMENT:  Practices project management by serving as a liaison between business partners and IT. Manage project team and coordinating contract resources. Provides technical expertise in translating integration designs into integration development solutions. Facilitate consumers in the selection of optimal service offerings based on business drivers.  Qualifications:  REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  - Bachelor's Degree in engineering or information technologies plus 6 to 8 years experience in Business Analysis, IT, data management or related field OR Advanced/ Masters Degree in engineering or information technology and 5 years experience in related field.  - Experience with Analytics and data integration tools (e. g. SAS, Teradata, DB2, Alteryx, SQL Server)  - Experience with one or more business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. SAS, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, Teradata, TM1, Alteryx, SSIS, SSRS)  - Moderate programming/scripting experience (e.g. .Net, SQL, JAVA, Python)  - Exposure or working knowledge of Big Data/ Hadoop tools.  PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:  - Master's Degree in related field  - Experience working with unstructured/big data  - Experience in web-based application development focused on user experience  - Experience using HIVE QL  - Experience using Alteryx, Informatica, Talend, Datameer or other data integration tools
