Should possess sound commercial and negotiation skills. Should be capable to bring vendor on negotiation table.  - Should be able to maintain data bank of vendors in different geographical territories for ensuring the best rates for the company. Continuously verify and develop new suppliers to expand supplier database, especially good at finding rivals suppliers.  - Managing effectively last minute requirement of material. Study inventory levels and make efforts to reduce the cost of inventory without stoppage of work due to material non availability  - Work with other departments to set up new purchasing goals & make well targeted sourcing strategies. Ensure proper reporting and communication management mechanism for success of the engagement.  - Experience into Sourcing, Cost Saving, Category Management, Contract Management, Spend Analysis, Vendor Management, etc are required.  - Identification of opportunities for savings. Forecasting & Rationalizing. Understands Supply Chain nuances  - Independent client and vendor management skills. Handling escalated vendor issues and resolving any conflicts  - Ensures all procurement activities are in compliance with the Companies Rules and Regulations, SOP's, and all other applicable procurement procedures, as well as in compliance with the commodity related technical requirements  - Conducts Purchase Order management and follow up to ensure supplier compliance to product specifications and Purchase Order terms and conditions. Makes recommendations for finalization of Purchases Orders.  - Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
