Acting as the Project Manager for key initiatives led by the Business Head, the incumbent will act as owner of key business processes, viz. S&OP and Innovation Processes
Responsibilities:
- Operations Lead to the Business Head
The incumbent will be expected to assist / facilitate the functioning of the Consumer Healthcare-Head's office. The work involved shall include, but not be limited to the following -
Tracking of key business performance on:
- Sales programs and performance
- Marketing effort and status of activities
- Supply Chain monitoring
- Other operational aspects
- Supporting the business head with review of key business processes
Process Leader for S&OP and Innovation processes:
- Leading the implementation of the above processes
- Alerting the business head on the progress and watch-outs
- Understanding and highlighting improvements & optimization in processes
- Identifying important information to escalate within the Organization
- Assisting in monitoring of Budgets along with the CFO of the Consumer Healthcare business -
- Liaising with the Finance function for timely review and monitoring of P&L
- Assisting the Business head and planning for funding requirements
Assisting in the setup and implementation of Governance processes:
- Designing & implementing governance processes for the Consumer Healthcare business segment, including -
i. Reviews by members of the Board / top management / functional heads etc.
ii. Control systems at the boundary of the consumer healthcare organization (where interactions / transactions with external entities are involved)
- Development of agenda, decks and pre-reads for meetings of the Board and keeping a record of minutes with the help of the Company Secretary
Liaising with and developing communication for, internal and external stakeholders as required, including but not limited to -
- Regulators
- Company secretary
- PR Agencies
Project Manager for key initiatives led by the Business head:
Planning the all-India roll out of the business, using -
- Inputs from Sales, marketing, R&D, finance and other teams within the organisation
- Excellent understanding of on-the-ground practicalities and constraints
Implementing the all-India roll out, including -
- Acting as a single point-of-contact for all stakeholders in the launch / roll-out of business
- Developing a critical path schedule / Gantt chart with inputs from multi-functional stakeholders
- Initiating action on items by respective teams and following up on results
- Critically reviewing key decisions along the way (eg. appointment of agencies, other choices affecting the time and manner of roll out)
- Ensuring all key wheels are moving in tandem in the project via following up with Functional Leaders (i.e. Recruitment of sales force, Appointment of Stockists, Marketing programs, etc.)
- Ensuring proper communication to key stakeholders on the progress and watch-outs
De-bottle necking and problem-fixing -
- Updating / monitoring of any issues / barriers
- Holding meetings / interfacing with key stakeholders to resolve issues
- Ensuring the buy-in of various stakeholders to key decisions
Education & Experience Requirements:
a) Educational Background:
- Should hold an MBA from one of the top B-schools in India / abroad
b) Work Experience:
- 8-10 years of post MBA experience in a leading consulting firm / similar operations role
- Experience of managing a complex project in the last three years
Key Skill-sets:
- Should be a team player with the ability to network both internally and externally
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to maintain balance and perform pro-actively in stressful situations
- Strong process orientation
- Good understanding of finance and numbers - comfortable computing and interpreting key financial metrics such as profitability, cash flow, NPV / IRRs, working capital, funding need etc.
- Excellent grip on MS Office, including MS Project
- Eye for detailing and ability to identify and maneuver practicalities
- Good documentation and reporting skills
