Job Location: Palava City, Dombivli

Palava is seeking an entrepreneurial individual to lead the marketing of the world-class city that Palava is slated to become. The role will involve marketing the city, as well as its public spaces and facilities, to build it into a destination for visitors and residents alike.

Position Profile:

The scope will include, but is not limited to:

- Developing the city marketing strategy for Palava : Working with the central marketing team to define an overall marketing strategy for the city, in order to bring it to life and make it a destination for visitors.

- Activation of public spaces in Palava to improve the liveability quotient of the city: Conceptualizing various ways of activating public spaces in the city, including events, branding, building participative citizenship. Analyzing the impact of campaigns/events on the impressions of Palava citizens about the city as a place to live and accordingly planning new campaigns. Creating literature and video materials for Palava from content generated in the city. Implementing campaigns to create a strong base of internal brand ambassadors and advocates.

- Revenue generation: Developing and implementing revenue generating marketing plans for all public spaces in the city, including signages, transport, sports facilities and recreational areas. Establishing alliances and partners for effective utilization of public spaces and generation of revenue for the city.

- Planning and implementation of the event calendar: Will be responsible to work with the various leads of city institutions in planning the event calendar, activation and coordination (with internal and external teams). This would be for a range of public spaces including Sports facilities (football, golf, cricket), Arts and Culture (internal and external events), Mall (ready by 2016), Festivals and more

- Communication: Amplification of on-ground activations and enhancement of social media presence with a view to building online communities of interest. Liaising with the local media for media coverage of events/activities in the city. Blogs and media stories to project the city as a thought leader. Managing the citizens portal and enhancing the user experience through effective and relevant content.

Desired Skills & Expertise:

The following education, experience, management, and leadership criteria have been identified as important skills and abilities for candidates to possess and demonstrate (not in order of importance):

Education Qualification:

- Full time degree from Tier 1 / Tier 2 Colleges specializing Marketing or equivalent.

- Candidate must have spent at least 5 years in the marketing division of a marketing-driven organization, with significant exposure to both above-the-line and below-the-line marketing, including experience in online marketing / social media

- 1st class / A grade through out academics

- Candidate should have worked extensively with advertising/activation agencies and partners, and with vendors in the events and activations space

- Candidate should be able to work well with a variety of stakeholders across functions, including central marketing, sales, strategy, the Palava city management office, facilities management, the central events team, etc.

- An ability to collaborate and bring people together will be essential for success.

- Candidate should demonstrate leadership capabilities to carry along a team and stakeholders in the city building process.

- Project management capabilities would be important to deliver on a calendar of city based activations and events.

- Good media relationships / familiarity in Kalyan, Dombivili, Thane, surrounding areas
