Role Purpose :

- There are primarily four job families in the Global analytic centers: Decision Sciences, Information Management, Analytic Consulting and MI Reporting. This role within the Business Consulting job family leading a team that is expected to work in a consultative framework with various senior stakeholders on their transformation journey and provide key strategic direction through data driven decisions, enabling change through strong storytelling and research and lateral thought leadership.

- The incumbent would contribute in Business Consulting and analytics for the Host world, working primarily but not limited to the Procurement initiatives to drive efficiency and cost saves through analytical solutions, data consultancy, spend analysis, research, category management support and other such initiatives.

- In-depth business knowledge across a breadth of functional areas and specifically in the domain of procurement and supply chain transformation is necessary.

- Incumbent should be proficient in key analytical concepts such as spend analysis, sourcing and its associated analytics, insights generation, metrics design and storytelling in a consultative framework would be key.

- Procurement Analytics team aims to support Procurement Function by enabling data driven decision making for strategic sourcing, maximising savings and reducing risk. The team based out of Bangalore works closely with Procurement Exco in a consultative framework to drive Exco's goals of efficiency, better alignment of resources, spend optimization, strategic transformation of end to end procurement journey and other initiatives. The Lead role for this team would be required to work closely with the PEXCO to drive these initiatives under the below domains:

- Data analytics

- Business consulting

- Vendor intelligence

- Category research

- Predictive modelling

Principal Accountabilities : Key activities and decision making areas

Impact on the Business/Function :

- Strong understanding of financial industry and good business and technical knowledge in procurement, sourcing or related functional areas

- Ability to translate and interpret business strategies to clarify direction for self and/or team and to gauge impact on current and future projects

- Understands how to link data and business strategy to create business insights and intelligence via evaluation

- Collaborates with SMT and Procurement leadership to determine and prioritize immediate information requirements, drive solution build, challenge existing metrics and methodology, drive design of analytic tools and solutions, consult on data and infrastructure build, provide justification for new projects and cost investments and drive change in the organization through insights and benchmarking

- Manages analytic team towards the integration of external and internal data to support analytics and be accountable for delivery of key projects

- Consult on key business questions, scope analytical approaches to address

- Develop and drive best practices across the teams in the assigned function.

- Demonstrate strong project management abilities in delivering large and complex projects as well as be a effective people leader

- Train team on technical and communication skills.

- Provide technical and business thought leadership to multiple teams

Operational Effectiveness & Control :

- Manages internal and external resources, processes and projects and provides strategic thought leadership to drive change

- Oversees the development of cost-effective solutions for assigned projects. Manages the automation of repetitive programming steps to reduce the need for manual intervention.

- Hires, trains and develops team of Analysts and managers

- Sets clear objectives, defining metrics and key milestones to plan and organize work

- Continuously review key risks and proactively institute controls in place to address the same.

- Responsible for the overall data access governance and driving BRCM process.

- Aligns longer term plans with team strategy for maximum return on investment

- Uses an appropriate balance of intuition and facts to make good judgments and takes reasonable risks to innovate

- Keep abreast of the latest technology trends in the industry and identify opportunities to implement this in the existing or new information management solutions. Ensures the team understands when to adopt existing ideas and when to invent

- Understands policies/standards and translates and implements the same into operational governance framework for the team; Influences changes/improvements to current set of standards/policies

- Complete any other duties /assignments from Analytic Center and Service Delivery by collaborating effectively with peers

Customers / Stakeholders :

- Responsible for delivery of high quality solutions for the existing clients / engagements and for the Analytics centers within Global resourcing

- Build a good relationship with the business probing and understanding their needs and identify areas of improvement to enhance current information infrastructure

- Develops the information required to manage the customer relationship, employed in the decision engine and leverages information in all channels of customer contact management process.

- Translate key information management solutions as generic and re-deployable across regions/countries

- Identifies and develops new solutions

- Develop and maintain relationships and work well with all levels of management.

- Actively seeks input from others- encourages and listens to different viewpoints and perspectives

- Uses networks inside and outside the business to provide support in delivering goals

- Builds a culture committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service and healthy, open, transparent, honest team environment.

- Encourages sharing of knowledge and information across teams and leverages from experience and learning from others

- Ability to influence and negotiate across all levels for mutually positive outcome

- Establishes goals, success criteria and performance measures to evaluate the success of major strategic initiatives.

- Manages deep on-going relationships with current and potential customers/clients/team - develops a connection built on trust.

- Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices.

- Promote an environment that supports diversity

Role Context :

- The role holder shall be expected to understand key areas of expertise within Analytic centers that are relevant to his/her function and proactively drive adoption of best practices.

- The role holder shall also be expected to create replicable solutions. As a key member of the Global Resourcing senior management team the job holder is expected to help shape future business strategy and define long term contribution to the group
