Job Description :  Demand planning & Forecasting :  - Forecasting after-sales service demand of Lava mobile spare parts using advanced analytics tools and techniques   - Taking account of all variables such as handsets sold, failure trends etc that may impact demand, incorporate them into demand planning logic and arriving at right order quantity  - Monthly planning for tearing down dead handsets and for making refurbishment handsets ready in case spare parts can- t be procured for certain EOL models  Procurement & Order placement :  - Spare pricing negotiation with vendors (mostly china based) for order placement of forecasted quantities basis handset cost & industry benchmarks  - Purchase order sharing, managing payments, supply follow ups & order fulfillment  Spare Distribution Planning :  - Spearheading PAN India distribution planning for procured spare parts to avoid stock out scenarios near customer touch points.  - Maintaining minimum stock levels at all service centers and regional distribution centers, regular replenishment of these stock levels on daily/weekly frequency from mother warehouse  Inventory management :  - Maintaining optimum inventory of spare parts against expected after-sales service requirement  - Avoid dead inventory and obsolescence generation  Vendor management :  - Regular vendor engagement and business handling ensuring right strategies gets implemented for spare parts- procurement and fulfillment.  - Monthly vendor performance measurement on timely supplies & quality compliance.   - Ensuring vendor agreement adherence though imposing penalties and getting compensation though FOC supplies or credit notes.  EOL models - demand handling :  - For end of life (EOL) models, replenishing spare parts might be a challenge due to challenges such as high MOQ/technology phasing out. Alternate and innovating means such as local procurement/dead handsets tear down etc needs to be planned on monthly basis  Material master management :  - Maintaining material master and data-base management in SAP for spare parts life cycle needs such as BOM management, price updates, substitute part management etc  Desired Skills and Competencies :  - Logical ability, Intuitive decision making capability, Should have high data analytics capability  - Proficiency in using demand planning/forecasting tools  - Team management - Should be able to manage a team of 10-15 highly skilled people, most of them hired from NITIE,IITs etc.   - Vendor management - Ability to deal and manage foreign vendor partners  - Business acumen - ability to develop quick understanding of business and Industry scenarios  - Experience in handling international business/cross-border vendors preferred  Ideal Candidate :  - MBA from a Tier-1 business school  - Relevant demand analytics and people leadership experience.  - Knowledge of working in SAP environment/ proficiency with SAP APO/IBP demand planning tools preferred
