Krotaj is currently seeking a Plant Manager to for its processing facility.   Krotaj is a venture-funded company looking for global leaders to lead its operations globally.  Job Title: Plant Manager   Location : Addis Ababa, Ethiopia  Compensation : Highly competitive  Job description :  - The Plant Manager will have full responsibility of monitoring procurement, production, warehousing, logistics, finance, human resources, and all other relevant management functions.   - As a Plant Manager, the selected candidate will oversee and report on all plant operations with overall responsibilities for the continuous improvement of production, maintenance, quality, safety and other production-related activities while ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures conducive to food processing operations.  Essential job functions :  - Oversee installation of machinery as per the approved layout and specifications; assist the installation team in test runs.  - Work with the executive leadership in building the production team.   - Direct and organize people and activities; establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.  - Coordinate plant activities with other departments to ensure the facility's objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.  - Establish and monitor overall plant performance objectives relative to production and quality standards and ensure adherence to the QMS (ISO) program throughout the plant.  - Prepare and report progress of corporate goals and objectives monthly to executive leadership and the board.  - Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance and operation reports.   - Manage production equipment and utilities and recommend modifications of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products.  - Develop and control financial plans and budget in collaboration with a cross-functional team; monitor key indicators and adjusts operations accordingly.  - Work with executive leadership and the investors to forecast monthly cash flow, track variable and fixed manufacturing overheads, and report results and detailed variance analysis of all cost lines.  - Use and manage organizational software systems to monitor inventory, customer relationships and accounting.  - Create and maintain an environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.  What we are looking for :  - Bachelor's or advanced degree in food technology or equivalent food-processing managerial experience.  - Minimum five years plant/general management experience in a food-processing environment, preferably in sesame processing.  - Emotional intelligence to understand the strengths and development capabilities of team members and fosters their development.  - Must possess excellent oral and written English skills and computer knowledge. Knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
