This position will be a part of the Global Programme Management Office in Management Consulting, which is KGS’s new solution and is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability. This unit is currently 10 members strong and is expected to grow exponentially to achieve employee strength of 30 by the end of this year. Below are a few more details on GPMO:

Roles - Senior Consultant - Global PMO

Location - Gurgaon

Job Description This individual will be responsible for delivering client engagements, solution and business development

Client Facing Project Management:

This individual will be a part of the offshore delivery team and work with onshore engagement teams on large transformation programmes supporting clients across the globe to restructure and navigate through difficult change agendas. PMO responsibilities will include:

- Supporting Design, Mobilisation and Execution of PMO activities for large projects including IT Advisory and ERP engagements managing all dimensions of programme management including Scoping, Organising, Executing, Checking and Transitioning

- Supporting multiple workstreams to create a centralized PMO organization.

- Developing and maintaining the programme management plan, integrated master schedule, and weekly and monthly reporting.

- Identifying the appropriate tools, methods and templates that are required within the centralized organization.

- Developing PMO supporting methodology, SOPs, and artifact templates.

- Engaging with key stakeholders and client subject matter experts.

- Developing programme briefings.

- Communication and outreach to programme teams.

- Implementing Lessons Learned analysis and Quality Assurance.

- Ensuring PMO services are delivered using best in class practices and methodologies

- Contributing to building PMO proposals and RFPs

- Fully support client projects including administration, organisation of project meetings and plans

Solution/ Business Development:

- Conduct research on best practice methodologies in terms of PMO design, systems, processes and policies and contribute in building the capability

- Support in business development and building relationships with stakeholders

- Co-ordinate, work-closely with in-country management consulting teams across the globe and manage relationship with them. Also build awareness of other MC capabilities to facilitate selling these services to the teams

- Conceptualising and building new PMO offerings

- Build relationships with UK/ Global stakeholders to grow PMO service offerings

Expected Skills Global PMO & IT Advisory:

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in the following areas:

- PMO support for large transformation IT or ERP engagements for European or Global Clients

- Developing PMO solutions for large engagements

- Full PMO experience including exposure to PM tools, building teams and experience of working in an Agile environment would be useful.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and manage people through a cross matrix reporting structure.

- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data quickly and draw meaningful insights

- Knowledge of Programme/Project Management methodologies with full project reporting and governance.

People Management:

Potential to foster the growth of other team members in line with the goals of the organization. This may include the following:

- Monitor work, manage, motivate and guide to deliver work of high quality

- Maintain the data confidentiality and adherence to the risk management policy

- Work allocation and identification of training and development needs

- Performance review

- Review of the team’s work & provide coaching & feedback to enable to improve performance

- Knowledge sharing, self-learning, mentoring and coaching

General:

- Organised approach and able to work under pressure

- Willingness to work in a highly demanding and results oriented team environment where priorities can change frequently

- Highly focused on detail and accuracy of information presented.

- Willingness to travel overseas for extended periods if required

Candidate profile

Overall Experience

- A minimum of 5-6 years of work experience including 3-4 years in project management in a leading professional services firm (e.g. international consulting firm, Big 4, IT Enabled Services Industry)

- Good understanding of project and programme management methodologies

- Language skills: English (proficient). Other global language capabilities will be an added advantage

- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project and Microsoft Excel (and MS Access and other PM Tools would be useful)

- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders around the globe

- Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment

- Organised approach and able to work under pressure

- Certification on CAPM or PMP methodologies.

Education

- Postgraduate degree from a Tier 1/Tier 2 institute
