KPMG Global Services is actively seeking Healthcare Data Scientists having various levels of experience. You will be a member of the KPMG Data & Analytics team based in U.S. & India and will work with cross disciplinary team comprising of domain consultants, end users, software engineers, statisticians and visualization experts. You will work on engagements to generate insights for leading U.S. healthcare organizations in areas such as population health, disease management, clinical quality, customer and claims analytics. You will address healthcare problems through data analytics, namely - statistical analysis, predictive modeling and data mining.

Key responsibilities:

- Work on healthcare payer & provider business engagements and develop analytics solutions that addresses customer needs

- Perform statistical analysis, modeling, data mining using large complex data sets from healthcare payer or provider domain to derive key insights and provide senior management with information and tools for strategic decision making and planning

- Perform research to identify business problems and ability to breakdown complex business issues to come up with solutions through extensive data analysis

- Perform exploratory and targeted data analysis to obtain insights from aggregated data

- Collaborate with big data/ data visualization/ software engineers and domain consultants to develop commercial market solutions & services

- Produce reports, algorithms or codes and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

- Demonstrated work experience in healthcare/ life sciences data analytics programs for minimum of 5 years. Candidates with higher level experience will be hired for senior position

- M.S or PhD in Biostatistics/Operations Research/Industrial Engineering/Computer Science/allied discipline

- Possess significant experience in clinical and/ or healthcare claims data, healthcare reforms programs.

- Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (R, SPSS, SAS, etc)

- Experience in complete life cycle of statistical modeling (business case, development, validation, deployment)

- Proven knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (SQL Reporting Svcs, Business Objects, etc), databases (SQL, etc), programming (ETL frameworks, XML, Javascript, etc)

- Excellent programming skills in Java, Python etc and working knowledge of big data tools

- Working knowledge of health care analytics in a payor or provider environment is mandatory
