We are setting up a 20 MW solar power project at Sadashivpet, Telangana and are taking steps to be a serious player in the Industry. The company has plans to develop three verticals - Build & Operate, EPC and Consulting. Over the next few years, Karvy Solar aims to be a serious player in the Construction, consulting and Operations & management of Solar Power projects  Purpose of role :   Operations Head for execution and O&M of all Solar power projects in the company for the Solar development (Build and operate) and for EPC for other companies including rooftop projects   Key responsibilities :   - Leading multiple Solar project execution teams including EPC works, development works and rooftop systems.  - Complete responsibility of P&L of each project as per the project mandates  - Timely completion of each project including quality work at each site to maintain standards and to ensure no cost and time overruns in any projects.  - Develop construction schedule, oversee and monitor projects, site costs, including projections, reporting and activity listing, maintain or update construction schedules  - Building and maintaining a comprehensive MIS for the Operations wing. Ensuring a control room type tracking of each project and its sub-components.   - Visits and camp at the plant sites and interacts with crew, customers, engineers, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress and facilitate the works.  - Working closely with the Design, Procurement, Construction and Accounts teams and external agencies to ensure timely completion of projects & refining the existing internal project management systems   - Maintain thorough understanding of the project contracts and specifications and hiring of people for various projects in consultation with the top management  - Work closely with procurement team, monitor suppliers and subcontractors, materials and equipment  - Monitor and document job site safety and accident prevention  - Attends all client meetings, industry events and represent Karvy in various forums   - Augment Business Development efforts through personal and professional networking and through showcasing of quality projects  - Builds and maintains relationships with Industrial Contractors, clients and stakeholders  - Assist estimating in bidding projects, Pre-bid meetings, Commercial negotiations etc.  - Assist top management in optimizing of resources and materials and to innovate with new products.  Qualifications Skills & Experience :   - Degree in any branch of engineering from any reputed university in India. Preferably in Electrical Engineering.  - Desirable diploma in project management and/or finance  - 15 -20 years experience of execution of power projects and plant maintenance activities with at least 3 years of experience in execution of Solar PV projects of at least 20 MW solar plants in each financial year.  - Should have good technical knowledge in the field of Solar PV and should be acquainted with various tracker technologies.  - Should have worked in leadership role in energy sector and experience in renewable energies like solar and wind will be given preference  - Should have good knowledge in project management and finance. Person having special qualifications in either of these will be preferred.  - Ability to find innovative and timely solutions to the field and project level issues at all levels.
