In this role, the group covers the purchasing and maintenance of securities services (custody and clearing) and cash services (payments and other foreign currency services) for LOBs firm-wide.   Currently the network spans approximately 500 agent banks, including sub-custodians, Nostro account relationships, and cash agent/partner banks in over 100 markets. The team works closely with these agents and regulatory authorities in each country to identify market practices, tax rules & strategies, and rules associated with foreign investment.  Network Management supports the whole of the CIB - TS, CFS, ACCE, Markets - as well as other areas of the firm as needed, including Card Services, the Private Bank and the Retail Bank. The group's key strengths are in depth market knowledge, expertise in buying, and strong project management.   The team provides a global focus for the firm in order to leverage buying power worldwide, developing outsourcing initiatives, and management of the associated risks. Focused on Network Service Management (NSM) interfaces with over 17 operational areas in the firm managing projects involving agent banks, resolving escalated issues, understanding network and market risks, and providing MIS analysis.  Role Description:  Responsible for the detailed analysis of all financial related MIS (volumes, values and spend) for the Firm's extensive agent bank and Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) network across all lines of business (Banking, Investor Services, Markets etc.). This reporting will take the form of internal (to GMI) metrics (both scheduled and ad-hoc) as well as supporting a number of firm wide initiatives, most notably the Broker, Clearing and Exchanges (BCE) project. The individual will also work with the wider Global GMI team in New York, UK, India, Hong Kong, and Singapore as well as the Expense Management Unit (EMU), based in Bangalore  General Key Responsibilities:   - Month on month variance analysis - providing commentary on drivers for any increase / decreases in spend, including fee types and underlying account detail  - Understand the pricing structure by FMI and across similar FMIs (with GMI guidance) and record impact of tariff changes whether up or down and identify / address inefficiencies resulting in additional spend  - Deep dive review of FMI - internal- fees to highlight potential saves through improved efficiency   - Full tiering review - highlight any Agents / fee types in top tier and flag as renegotiation item - include in monthly ongoing review  - Conduct a review of LOB mapping of FMI fees, highlighting gaps and working with the relevant billing team / business to close  - Assist with review / collation of FMI exchange spend  - Specific FMI and / or fee type deep dives as directed - Membership fees review - FMI- s  - Assist with various fee enhancement initiatives as directed  The individual must be able to work in a high pressure, multicultural and international environment.   Qualifications  - Bachelors degree preferable in Finance, economics, other business related degrees or related experience. Experience in risk, finance and regulatory a plus.  - Strong analytical / quantitative skills related to the management and analysis of large amounts of data, with attention to detail a must.  - Advanced user of Excel including pivot tables and other Microsoft Office products such as Access, Word, and PowerPoint;  - Knowledge in Access SQL and Excel VBA, as well as SharePoint Design and management;  - Critical thinking skills to conduct root cause analysis and driving solutions to address identified gaps and issues;  - Proven communication and presentation skills;  About J.P.
