Opportunity with a Background Verification Company  Designation : JVP / DVP - Compliance  Reports to : Chief Operating Officer  Location : Mumbai  Role & Responsibilities :  - Creates, documents and implements compliance programs, processes, procedures and/or policies and standard operating procedures in support of the various laws, guidelines and regulations governing and ensures that the company applies the highest level of compliance across all levels.  - Develop, implements and monitors a comprehensive enterprise wide risk framework  - Ensure business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures.  - Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the compliance program  - Developing, coordinating, and participating in a multifaceted educational and training program that focuses on the elements of the compliance program, and seeks to ensure that all appropriate employees and management are knowledgeable of, and comply with all the applicable legislation   - Coordinating to RBI investigations and audits, submissions, complaints and queries. Ensures that all the audit observations are closed within the agreed timeframe  - Independently investigating and acting on matters related to compliance  - Continual compliance risk assessment of company practices together with the development of internal policies and procedures, compliance training and protocols  - Identifies process improvements that significantly control, minimize or eliminate exposure to risk. Functions as liaison between compliance department and various business units for ensuring that processing and services provided are meeting the customers- expectations and are compliant with the organization's and business unit policies.  - Performs other related duties as assigned by the management  Qualification :  - Graduate in areas like LLB, CA,  - Preferred MBA in Finance   Below Certification will be an added advantage :  - Certification in Anti-Money Laundering and KYC from Indian institute of Banking and Finance  - Certified Banking Compliance Professional ( CBCP ) from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance  - Securities Intermediaries Compliance (Non-Fund) Certification Examination (SICCE) from National Institute of Securities Markets (Securities companies)  - 10 - 14 years relevant experience in a similar job function   Skills and Competencies Required :  - Relevant experience in Compliance of financial sector is essential   - Experience of developing and managing Compliance Monitoring Programmes.  - Ability to write formal policies and procedures as well as routine reports and correspondence.   - This position requires working with internal associates, including senior management and Audit Committee of the Board, at all levels throughout the organization.   - Strong logical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.   - Proven commercial acumen
