Enterprise Architect – Infrastructure   Additional Information  - Consulting capability  - Infrastructure Background – breadth and knowledge rather than deep technical  We are looking for Enterprise Architects who are good all round experienced consultants, able to talk around a business problem and offer subject matter expertise, they will come from a solid infrastructure background and have enterprise wide exposure – this is why we call them Enterprise Architects rather than Technical Architects, Solutions Architects and so on.  We are not looking for strong network skills or very technical individuals as these roles sit in consulting and these people are those who think outside of the box. They will be capable in business discussions and will operate at the C level within clients.  - Utilised 80-100% of their time, therefore key delivery focus  - Some practice development and presales when workload permits  - No specific sector focus, ideal candidates would have cross sector experience  Job Summary  The Consultant is a key member of Client’s Consulting team. The Consultant is initially assigned to a client that has engaged our consulting practice to deliver Enterprise Architecture (EA) services. The primary focus of the Consultant is to deliver EA services in a manner consistent with the EA global practice’s best practices and methodologies. The Consultant is expected to work in a collaborative manner with senior members of the client’s organization and with other members of the engagement team. The Consultant is expected to bring both thought leadership and a high degree of broad expertise and credibility to each engagement.   As an experienced member of the team, the Consultant is expected to be a trusted advisor to our clients and be able to deliver innovative solutions to complex problems. This includes mentoring the client, other members of the practice and engagement teams on best practices and Client’s consulting services. In addition, this role involves contributing to Client’s knowledge capital through the development and reuse of practice frameworks and tools.  Responsibilities   - Primary Delivery role with some Pre-Sales engagements  - Participate in and lead strategic projects  - Identify insights into the client’s business pain points, and deliver actionable, high-impact results.  - Participate in client engagements including oversight of infrastructure consulting and transformation activities.  - Support business development and ensure high levels of client satisfaction during delivery.  - Provide project and program support and help the account management team develop new opportunities within the client space.  - Deliver value-add Infrastructure Consulting services across multiple industries.  - Provide thought leadership through the creation of executive presentations and position papers.   Qualifications (Must Have)   - Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline or 8+ years relevant experience  - Prior consulting experience is required  - Sound, hands-on background of IT Infrastructure services, Deep understanding of most of IT infrastructure towers (servers, storage, network, security, data center, DR/BCP, IT operations, etc  - Experience in plan, design and implementation of large enterprise infrastructure transformation projects/programs, such as:   - Cloud computing  - Data center consolidation/migration/relocation  - Server virtualization/consolidation  - Network rationalization  - Storage consolidation/virtualization  - DR/BCP   - IT strategy and Assessment  - Experience of IT service management (ITIL based practice)  - Experience in current IT service offerings and their impact on organizations in the infrastructure space such as cloud, integrated cross-company services, virtualization techniques, datacenter transformations  - Experience in advising clients for large scale project implementations using outsourcing & off shoring staffing models.   - Program/project management skills, prior experience of lead the execution of large infrastructure transformation projects  - Strong consulting skills:   - Communication skills: both verbal and written  - Situation control/handle skills  - Leadership skills (can lead a multi-culture, global team the consists of onshore and offshore resources, and sometimes client and/or contract resources)  - Coordination skills (can coordinate and orchestrate large pursuit effort that consists of sales team, technology team, delivery team)  Qualifications (Nice to Have)   - A strong and well-rounded understanding of business process management issues, re-engineering techniques and sourcing decision frameworks is required.   - TOGAF certification  - Prior responsibility for leading Enterprise Architecture Initiatives within a large corporate environment is desirable.  - Experience in working with large distributed multi-cultural teams in a highly dynamic environment, preferably involving an onshore/offshore model is highly desirable.   - Enterprise Architecture Consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm is preferred  Role demands   - Excellence in strategic and analytical problem solving	  Quantitative, fact-based approach to team based problem solving and strategic approach to addressing issues and offering solutions. Commitment to making a positive lasting client impact.  - Self-guided attitude	  The ability to succeed in a professional environment where client and project direction is not always well defined. Qualified candidates will understand how to produce results when working in challenging client environments and/or new business areas.  - Facilitation skills  The ability to facilitate executive workshops and obtain consensus.   - Negotiation skills   Understanding of principled negotiation strategies and the ability to resolve differing opinions and seek a win-win resolution to conflicts.   Location / Travel:  - Extensive travel (domestic or international) may be required.  - Client’s offers flexible work locations.
