Position Title:  Outsourcing Risk Manager -- Operational Risk Management Group

Purpose of the Job:

To ensure effective adherence to the outsourcing risk management framework. Similarly the outsourcing framework is extended to the Bank’s overseas branches with suitable modifications based on the local regulatory requirements.

Location: Mumbai

Key deliverables/Job Profile:    

    * Ensure implementation of/adherence to the outsourcing policy and outsourcing procedural guidelines by all the business, operations groups and corporate functions in the Bank;

    * Identify, assess, measure, report and monitor  outsourcing risks on a regular basis;

    * Periodically visit outsourcing service providers premises and carry out on-site reviews;

    * Ensure business, operations groups and corporate functions carry out annual reviews of service providers on a timely basis and monitor the effectiveness of the annual reviews;

    * Conduct Outsourcing Committee meetings on a timely basis;

    * Prepare detailed notes to be submitted to the Outsourcing Committee, the Risk Committee and the Board on a timely basis;

    * Ensure the controls in the process for payouts to outsourcing service providers are functioning and effective;

    * Periodically assess the need for outsourcing and help in reduction of outsourcing costs;

    * Assume ownership of outsourcing system and carry out reviews and enhancements in the system on an on-going basis; and

    * Co-ordination with and submission of timely information to the regulator(s), internal and external auditors during inspection/audit

Key skills and experience:

    * Deep understanding of banking business and operations especially retail banking (assets and liabilities) and exposure to commercial/corporate banking businesses and operations;

    * Excellent communication (both written and oral) skills;

    * Self initiation, attention to detail, good analytical and inter-personal skills;

    * Ability to put forward views effectively backed by analysis; and

    * MBA / CA / ICWA / CAIIB with 8-12 years of relevant experience in banking operations/business / auditor/risk manager in banks
