JARDINE LLOYD THOMPSON INDIA  Summary  Division Finance  Department Finance  Sub- Department India Finance  Job Title Manager - India Finance  Reports to Head - India Finance  Span of Control 3 DRs ( AM)  Job Purpose  To ensure the delivery of relevant, timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal & external stakeholders for financial and budgetary decision making   Principle Accountabilities  1. Statutory/ Management Reporting - Prepare all financial reports for the Management team of JLT India and the Finance Managers / Controllers of all operating companies globally to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial statements, accounts, business transactions and related submissions.  - Ensure adherence to Accounting Standards in India as well as Group Accounting policy.  - Responsible for asset control management for all JLTI owned assets  2. Budgeting & forecasting - Prepare/consolidate the annual budget for JLTI by ensuring regular management discussions on functional budgets, costs & spends and submission of the same to JLT Group for monthly review and controls  - Track & ensure a strict cost control through timely, month-on-month budgetary reporting on JLTI's performance against budget to help the India management take decisions  3. Team Management - To build knowledge within team and Subject Matter experts in the areas of accounts.   - Responsible for keeping the team motivated and promote team towards excellence in their own spheres of work  - Identify skill gaps in team for current and future requirements, create plans for skill and competency development and implement and monitor development plans for increased team capability  4. Client Relation - Maintain healthy relation with all group entities and ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections to ensure a continuous flow of information and speedy resolutions   5. Others - Prepare & manage cash flows for JLT India for optimal cash management  Context  Operating Environment   JLT India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson group (JLT). The JLT group has two main lines of business Employee Benefits and Insurance Broking and has its presence through owned companies in over 36 countries and through a network its presence is in over 100 countries.   The India Finance team works with the India Management team, the operating companies serviced by JLTI and the Group Finance and Taxation teams for corporate accounting, compliance and reporting of JLT India  The role of the Manager is resident with the Finance function of JLT India and requires the incumbent to work closely with the Finance Director/Controller, CEO and the India management team to manage all finance, accounting and budget related activities for JLT India.   Framework & Boundaries - Laws like Companies Act, Income Tax, Service Tax, Customs Act  - Rules and regulations like the RBI rules, STPI rules, FEMA guidelines  - Group accounting policies & procedures  - Indian & Global Accounting Standards  Relationships  Subordinates - Day to day interaction with DRs to review BAU and provide advice on exceptions  - Monthly one-on-one to review performance  Superiors - Day to Day interaction with reporting authority for strategic direction   - Fortnightly meetings with Director for updates, progress and reporting  - Monthly interaction with the CEO for updates and reporting  Others Within the company:   - Need based interaction with Finance Managers of operating companies for reporting  - Need based interaction with Senior Management Team of JLTI for reporting and query resolutions  Outside the company:   Regular interaction with consultants, auditors  Person Specifications  Education Essential: Chartered Accountant or Accounting degree ( like CPA, CIMA, ACCA etc)   Work Qualifications Essential: C.A  Desired: Diploma in IFRS  Experience Essential:   - 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting functions   - At least 2 years- experience of handling a small sized team  Desired: Worked in off shoring environment in global organization  Knowledge Essential: Knowledge of Accounting Standards/ Local GAAP   Skills & Abilities Essential:  - Very strong accounting concepts  - People Management Skills  - Communication and presentation Skills  - Attention to details
