IT Manager - Mining

This is for a Mining company in Congo/Africa

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and performs installations, maintenance, and monitoring of Local Area Networks

Recommend, develop plans, and engineer the updating, enhancement, or expansion of the LAN as directed by management

Lead/manage implementation projects to ensure success

Develop and recommend LAN policies and standards

Engineer all server configuration standards including hardware and software specifications

Provide all support for network servers and expertise in server installations and configurations

Provide advanced technical support for the technicians to successfully resolve problems

Maintain accurate and current documentation of LAN installation settings, specifications

Serve as technical contact for technical staff in resolving problems and/or unusual situations encountered with LAN hardware and software

Serve as technician support to LAN environment to resolve critical operational issues

Utilize system management tools

Manage technical projects as directed by management within budget and assigned timeframes

Provide second level support to other technical teams

Be responsive on-call for server and helpdesk support after-hours.

Installation and support/managing Microsoft Server Application.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BE/BTECH

Thorough understanding of PC based applications

Knowledge of WAN design

Multisite Replication

ERP solution
