Work Location: Delhi / Mumbai

Work Level : Manager /SM Level

Work Experience: 7 - 11 years

Key Responsibilities:

- The individual will be responsible for working with the concerned MD and SM's Partner and helping develop Accenture's practice in the Steel Industry of the Metal & Mining vertical.

- While the role envisages both business development and service delivery responsibilities the focus would be more on client management and business/practice development.

Business Development:

- Manage client relationships at key clients in the steel (and metals) industry. Develop and maintain relationships with top decision makers at key clients.

- Organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development and sales process.

- Demonstrate strong account management and relationship development capabilities. Overall, be responsible for business from a client and satisfaction of the client.

Engagement Management:

- Lead or support project teams in delivery of projects Domain Development: Understands Accenture's offerings in the Steel Industry / Metals & Mining space and tailor them to client requirements in India. Develop point-of-view, research or white papers, and support development of marketing collateral, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals.

- People Development: Develop a team of professionals to enable growth. Perform role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the firm's staffing process, and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.

Competencies and Characteristics:

- Must be comfortable working at the highest levels of client organizations and interacting closely with the "C" level executives in a range of environments

- Must be able to work with limited direction and should be self-driven

- Should demonstrate a team oriented and collaborative approach, and excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written communication capabilities

- The individual should have a deep understanding of the steel industry - overall industry dynamics, issues in the Indian steel sector, typical challenges faced by clients in the steel sector in India and an appreciation of operational aspects of the steel industry

- The individual should have successful track record of selling work to steel companies, preferably in India and in the private sector

- The individual should have strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts

Experience

- A minimum of 7-11 years of overall experience (Industry + consulting)

- An excellent, established track record for selling and delivering consulting engagements

- Preferred candidates who have had account management experience, 'sectoral' responsibility

- Experience of managing key "accounts" in the steel sector and working with "C" level executives at these clients

- Extensive work experience in the Steel Industry across areas

- Manufacturing operations & maintenance (should be conversant with areas where improvements can be driven - for e.g. Logistics, Maintenance, Plant Operations, Supply Chain planning etc.)

- Overall industry dynamics and understanding of key trends affecting the industry

- Some understanding of IT in steel - ERP / MES

- Some understanding of related Mining operations & areas where improvements can be driven
