You have to be equally comfortable in a village and city setting, understand dialects and also get your point across while being savvy.  Major responsibilities  - Overseeing farm operations, collection, quality, wastage, pricing, transportation  - Setting up and maintaining practices that ensure the best quality, lowest wastage possible (challenge yourself to 0 wastage), farmer & community benefit, overhead cost minimization.  - Investigating and analyzing technology and processes to achieve these goals  - Keeping up to date with demand requirements, and planning and ensuring implementation with partner farmer groups to ensure product availability.   - Setting up feedback mechanisms with farmers to convey issues so that prompt action can be taken. Establish and maintain relationships based on mutual trust, understanding, and cooperation.  - Overseeing and optimizing the reporting systems in place.  - Managing certification requirements.   - Setting up rigorous internal audits – authenticity, random tests, quality etc.  - Always on the lookout for new farmer partnerships for more products/Enhancing the product portfolio, and complementing existing farmers. Due diligence for these new farmers.   - Future: Organizing clusters of organic farmers, conversions, training, certification, supply.   - There will be substantial travel involved, easily 50%.  Desired Skills  - Relevant experience - Agriculture/Food backend operations, Logistics, worked in rural/farmer settings - 2-4 years  - Education - Undergraduate degree from a top ranked university or college in either business, operations/supply chain, agriculture, or engineering  - Super at multi-tasking, while delivering results on time, and minute attention to detail  - Extremely well organized and a self starter  - Nice to haves - Demonstrated interest in inclusive & sustainable development, well informed about different aspects of organic agriculture  Compensation  Based on experience.   To Apply  - Resume  - Cover letter talking about why this role is of interest, & why you think you are a good fit.
