iProf - Data Analyst/Data Scientist - R/SPSS

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for end to end data management, including but not limited to:

- Defining database format and structures

- Dealing directly with product, marketing and technology teams to understand and communicate specific requirements from time to time

- Storage of data in a format which is easy to use, including necessary clean-up operations

- Analysis of data and presentation of analysis to relevant stakeholders

Desired Skills:

- Strong grasp of mathematics, in particular probability and statistics

- Well versed with tools to handle large data sets such as R, SPSS

- Strong hypothesis driven problem solving skills: able to apply judgment to translate real world requirements to mathematical variables

- Must be passionate about technology

- Must be curious and willing to learn new skills

Experience:

- Prior experience of handling large (size - 107) and rapidly growing data sets

- Demonstrated ability to derive meaningful insight from data sets

Academic Qualification:

- Mathematics background - graduate in engineering / mathematics from a premier institution

Good to haves:

- A post-graduation or more in statistics from a premier institution

- MBA from a premier institution
