JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY):

- Ensure all the reconciliation activities are completed on a daily basis.

- Independently handle project activities involving global stake holders and ensure completion of the same in a timely and accurate manner

- Should focus on the development needs of team members and address the same while maintaining high motivation levels.

- Manage and coordinate with various internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to processes and prepare status reports.

- Establish the sound relationship with external stakeholders like the custodian, fund accountants, counterparties, brokers and vendors for effective resolution.

- Manage the workload of team members and ensure timely completion of projects. Interact with internal and external stakeholders and understand requirements, provide metrics to senior management.

- Ensure that all the manual processes are automated and eliminate redundancy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

- Responsible for managing daily reconciliations and activities supporting the business. Undertake reconciliation activities for all custodial and noncustodial securities, product classes and accounts

- Manages and directs overall team activities and monitors progress.

- Responsible for implementation of internal controls, operational policies, processes, and services.

- Recommends and implements enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of services and systems. Manages resources and operating expenses.

- Interact with internal and external stakeholder's co-ordinate reconciliation related activities. Coordinates with global sourced teams. Facilitates business partner relationships.

- Collate, analyze data, identify anomalies and ensure relevant rectifications.

- Take initiative on a resolution of issues/dependencies with stakeholders and follow through to logical closure.

- Develop an understanding of related processes and inter-dependability between teams, have a broad understanding of different teams.

- Interact with clients as and when required and submit necessary statements. Work in tandem with the support teams to achieve stated deliverables per SLA's and KPI- s

- Envision scope for the more effective performance of prescribed responsibilities through enhancements, technical or otherwise.

- Build and Develop the team goals aligning to Global department goals

- Interface and communicate effectively with business partners.

- Knowledge of global financial products and capital markets securities

- Assist the management in preparing MIS reports

- Ensure goal setting, development reviews and performance appraisal for the team assigned and provide them feedback on regular basis

LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

- MBA in Finance or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience

- Degree n Finance or accounting preferred

- 8-10 years of financial, accounting or operations experience

- Prior experience of managing people and people leaders

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

- 8-10 years of knowledge and experience of handling team in Investment operations

- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a highly fluid environment

- Excellent people management skills, conflict resolution skills. Understand development needs of sub-ordinates and address the same while maintaining high motivation levels.

- Should have excellent knowledge on the global financial products and capital markets securities

- Must have a strong understanding of the end-to-end investment services processes such as trade entry, trade process, settlement, valuation, corporate action processing and fund account

- Must have a strong understanding on the impact of different characteristics of a security has on downstream data consumers and business functions (e.g. Compliance, Risk, Performance

- Solid verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines

- Capability to lead projects, as well be able to work in a team environment

- Must be quick to adapt to new process requirements and development tools

- Solid analytical and problem solving ability

- Desire to assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility

- Should have performed annual appraisal for his team and provide them feedback on regular basis

- Strong MS Office skills - in particular MS Excel, MS Word

SKILLS & OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

- Ability to work independently and in a global team environment

- Ability to meet deadlines and expected levels of service quality

- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and delivering all of them on time by meeting desired service expectations

- Strong exposure working in dynamic global environment. Must show the ability to make quick decisions, establish priorities and concentrate on detailed information under pressure on a daily basis.

- Excellent research and analytical as well as problem solving skills

- Desire to learn new and complex financial instruments and processes.

- Willingness to participate in the development and enhancement processes and productivity.

- Must be adept in all Microsoft Office programs, with a special emphasis in Excel.

- Must establish and maintain relationships with internal teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures

- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 30 pounds is also necessary

- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment

- Hours include alternate shift work, evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone
