Position: Inventory Controller  Function: Finance  Reports to: Head- Finance  Key Responsibilities:  A) Inventory Handling Processes  a. Review & define Inventory Handling processes at Stores / Warehouses (GRN/PRT/INV etc)  b. Define rules & control the handling of Non-trade inventory – Samples / damage good / repair inventory etc  c. Conduct Internal audits / Surprise audits to validate compliance to Inventory Process defined  B) Procurement Reviews, checks & controls  a. Establish Inventory mix for the formats  b. Establish Inventory levels for each category / sub category  c. Establish Check & controls to avoid overbuys & overstocking  d. Create MIS on overstocked materials and lead efforts with CFO / Procurement team to liquidate / return the excess material   e. Review the Purchase (PO) controls and establish authority matrix   C) Inventory Physical Count Control  a. Responsible for planning and scheduling Stock takes.  b. Reconciliation of Inventory GLs & Consumption / Shrinkage/ Provision accounting  c. Conduct various physical inventory verification  d. Recording of Inventory variance & investigating the causes of Shrinkage   e. Implement new or improved Inventory Audit processes  D) Inventory Liquidation   a. Preparation of monthly Non Moving Inventory/Excess Inventory working   b. Drive efforts with Procurement team / Warehouse teams to liquidate old / damaged inventory with best possible realization  c. Ensure appropriate accounting of liquidated inventory  d.
