Intellectual Property Analytics

Purpose

- To perform patent searches for clients using various IP analytics tool with minimum handholding by Sr. Associates.

Main Priorities

- Churning out a specific number (8 -14 searches per month) of patent searches with requisite quality Effectively incorporate feedback by mentors, attorneys and clients Communicate effectively with clients, and mentors
Measures

1. Complete 10 patent search projects per month.

2. 150 hours of billable work per month.

3. Zero cases of negative feedback from the client.

4. 100% adherence to defined process/SOPs.

5. 100% output based on search project quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

- Bachelors/ Master’s degree in the respective field of technology.

Experience

1. 1-3 years’ experience in IP domain

2. Should have conducted more than 25 patent searches in relevant domain.

Domain Skills

1. In-depth knowledge of technical literature in the area of subject matter expertise

2. Knowledge of Prior Art Searching Techniques

3. Knowledge of Specialized Prior Art Searching Databases (like Thompson Innovation, Orbit, Delphion etc.)

4. Knowledge of US Patent Law (35 USC § 101, 102, 112 etc.)

5. Expertise in MS Excel and other charting tools

6. Understanding of various IP Analytics Tools

7. Exposure to Secondary Business/Market Research on Internet

Business Reporting Skills:

- Possess excellent business writing skills for emails and reports. Basic knowledge of MS Office.

- Understanding of MS office skills and familiarity with the internet to cover basic jobs requirements Internal /Client SLAs & Metrics: Ability to meet client SLAs and Metrics.
