Job Description:

Job Summary

Role will support the Global Health and Public safety Strategic Development team in internalizing corporate development expertise focused on accelerating growth through new business ventures, alliances, partnerships, investments and acquisitions. Role will support team in originating and executing strategic transactions worldwide. The objective is to help build a core competency in inorganic strategy development, market assessment, competitor analysis as well as target identification, screening and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

The Inorganic Growth Strategist will work alongside Strategic Development Lead (Healthcare and Public Service) to support the mergers and acquisitions transaction process for potential and active deals. Key responsibilities will include supporting market intelligence, pipeline management, target company intelligence management and overall administrative support for the team.

1. Assist with strategic market scans and market research that identifies, analyzes, and sizes market opportunities for growth priority areas

2. Assist with the identification of targets and maintenance of multi-horizon mergers and acquisitions pipeline

3. Create target company summary or detailed profiles that include a summary of target offerings & value propositions, revenues, employees, key customers and recent headlines

4. Manage target company files including all activities from collecting, consolidating and managing all intelligence gathered through the mergers and acquisitions transaction process

5. Assist with the coordination and scheduling of internal meetings and external management meetings with potential targets

6. Participate remotely in management meetings with targets to document findings from across all participants for inclusion in target company files

7. Maintain the Global Strategic Development team document repository on One Drive

8. Periodically update and prepare status reports on the progress of active deals

9. Update and maintain a tracker of relevant industry precedent transactions with notes on mergers and acquisitions multiples 10. Research industry best practices in mergers and acquisitions, including academic journals, industry newsletters etc.

11. Update and maintain all deliverables associated with mergers and acquisitions transactions in support of the Strategic Development Lead and Leadership Teams

12. Assist with the transition of market intelligence to Business Services and Offering Leads to support the organic growth strategy

13. Assist with the development of repeatable Global Strategic Development processes and tools to continuously improve the end-to-end process

Knowledge and skill requirements

- Understanding of and experience within the Healthcare Payer, Provider and Public sectors such as defense, education, human services and social security

- Desirable but not mandatory

- Ability to conduct thorough market, competitive and company-specific research and analysis

- Ability to identify and quantify potential transaction synergies

- Strong business case development/analysis skills across diverse business/operating models

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Problem-solving & professionalism skills

- Advanced MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and SharePoint skills.
