Infosys BPO - Technology Architect - J2EE/Progress 4GL/OpenEdge

Responsibilities:

- Perform competitive analysis of products and technologies as per the business need

- Perform performance and scalability studies of the overall platform or software components and make recommendations for improvements

- Interact with vendors/alliances and understand complimentary offerings/products/IP to leverage partner technologies

- Define objective, goals for conducting Technical Proof of concepts and lead the development effort

- Provide Technology Leadership to the Insurance platform solution development team

- Create, consult and review Architectural solutions, decisions, platform re engineering recommendations

- Map high level business specification to platform functionalities and develop High Level design of software components

- Coordinate architectural and high level design work with onshore architecture team

- Assess Technical risks in the projects and report to the Project Managers

Skills:

- PROGRESS 4GL, Sonic ESB, OpenEdge 10.x, PROGRESS DB, Web services

- Java/J2EE, XML, Web services, Struts

- SQL, PL/SQL

- Database modeling and Query Tuning

- LOMA Insurance Certifications

- Experience in working on Insurance administration products/platforms

Qualification:

- Degree in engineering or a master of computer application with minimum of 8 years of IT experience in relevant roles.

- Proven specialization in life insurance & Annuities domain or in J2EE/Progress/Open Systems technologies - with atleast 1 primary and 1 secondary area of specialization
