Objective:

- To devise and implement the policies and procedures that include developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems and network security

Key Responsibilities:

- Working closely with the IT Head for setting up the IT Network

- Help design and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements

- Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and associated plans for infrastructure needs and project management.

- Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all Networks, including LANs, WANs, firewalls (checkpoint), netflow, webwashers, IDS, load balancers, etc.

- Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the Head of Operations and in conjunction with overall business goals

- Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network-specific products and services

- Planning and deployment of network security measures

- Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure

- Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server network

- Manage operational costs; conduct near-term and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base

- Direct and administrate a team of systems engineers during day-to-day operations, and conduct performance reviews and corrective action.

Candidate Profile:

- College degree or diploma in the field of computer science or IT and 9-15 years equivalent work experience

- Experience managing and delivering network design and operational excellence

- Ensuring that network processes & Policies, standards are adhered by the Networks Team

- Ensure necessary processes are in place for risk identification & remediation in place

- Certifications like CCNP, CCIE would be an added advantage.

- Should have excellent knowledge of switching and routing & proven track record of managing large LAN/WAN multi-location connectivity.

- Should have worked on firewalls (checkpoint), netflow, webwashers, IDS, load balancers

- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and operational systems

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations

- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language

- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Experience leading and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Vendor management experience
