JD for Commercial Position :

Co-ordination with all User functions for their requirements, vendor selection, vendor negotiations :

- Preparing approval notes, issuing purchase order/ contracts after finalization with legal team and ensuring delivery of the products/services

- Keeping a track of the vendor payments along with User functions and pending/un-utilized purchase orders and pending/un-utilized contracts.

- Ensure timely issue of all Opex and Capex related Purchase Orders and Contracts (after due negotiations where rate contracts are not available) to eliminate any contractual risks.

- Identify new vendors by timely short listing

- Assess and evaluate existing vendors

- Negotiate with vendors where rate contracts are not available

- Place orders with most optimal costs, desired specifications, within timelines

Review and evaluate effective vendor management to achieve cost and competitive advantage to enable long and sustainable relationships :

- Ensure identification and assessment of performance of vendors on a rating scale

- Develop good vendors and contractors

- Maintaining vendor data base for prospective vendors

- Manage vendors to deliver cost and competitive advantage

- Analyze and present the proposals of Opex and Capex procurement within the framework of DOA

- Standardize key Opex products specifications and benchmark of products/processes to reduce Opex

- Identify frequently used items and benchmarking the same with for a better negotiated price

- Maintain a master vendor database with all relevant details of price/location/supply strength to avoid business allocation to high price vendor
