Business Unit Overview :
- GPS Supply Chain Management (SCM) provide the following services to the Customers supporting their organization in the areas of outsourcing and Vendor Management.
- Sourcing and Supplier Management
- Procure to Pay
- Strategic sourcing
- End to End SCM solutions
Role Summary :
A senior level pre-sales and practice development role to help build best in class SCM organizations for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Solution Architect will be engaged in complex client requirements that require specific industry expertise (banking, manufacturing, Pharma etc. ) as well as cross tower solutions (i.e. SCM, CRM, HR, ITSO etc).
- Should be able to drive enterprise wide transformation along with the consulting teams
Integrated Solution Design :
- Work with cross tower teams, sales, delivery and analytics to define a value based solution for the client
- Define Scope for the SCM tower
- Understand & document client/prospect requirements (objectives, challenges, deliverables etc.) through RFx documents, emails, and other collaterals /information gathered etc.
- Create structured SCM proposals/solutions independently and with innovative ideas
- Establish a delivery centre strategy with the delivery heads as well as sales team
- Evaluate skill sets required to service the process from IBM delivery locations
- Support SCM due diligence (DD) and transitions
- Define - To Be Process- with relevant process SME's as well as Tools team
- Define relevant statement of work as well as service level agreements for the processes in-scope in conjunction with Process SMEs as well as delivery leads.
- Liaise with IT and Transition teams to understand their solution approach as well as components
In addition to the above, the Solution architect will also be responsible for :
- Deal costing, identification of key cost drivers as well as cost optimizations
- Requisite compliance process prior to the price release which includes solution and delivery approvals as well as risk assessment.
- Facilitate selling of solutions to the client, clearly articulating business value proposition for achieving client's objectives in the solution response document.
- Client visits and showcasing relevant IBM experience as well as delivery centres
- Best and final offer as well as the due diligence prior to contract negotiations
Generic Skills Required :
- Minimum 14+ years in industry, delivery, transition or consulting
- In-depth understanding of IT applications / functionalities as well as SCM processes
- High degree of analytical, articulation and presentation skills
- Decision making, people management as well as leadership skills
- Ability to lead complex and highly matrix deals
- Innovative approach for value accretion to the client
- The Solution Architect will leverage established standards throughout the deal engagement cycle.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise :
- Graduate with min 15+ years of experience in SCM environment
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience :
- Experience in designing end to end solutions for third part clients globally
