Designation: Manager - Investment Banking Risk  Location: Bangalore  Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role)  Support AMG Central Risk team to manage the risk data architecture, associated BAU data processes and UAT data activities required for data change initiatives. Also support Risk Managers with their data management activities within APT Enterprise.  Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas   - Assist with the management of the integrity of data within APT Enterprise, and other Risk databases.  - Review missing and/or erroneous security data and create mechanism for substitution from alternative data sources.  - Review existing data quality through the use of mechanical and/or subjective analysis.  - Support Risk Managers with BAU data activities within Enterprise.  - Assist with MI/BI reporting on key data statistics regarding quality, integrity, and timeliness of data feeds from internal Operational functions and external data providers.  - Assist with any other testing activities required to support the Risk Data function's role in the end to end testing.   - Investigate and satisfactorily resolve queries and issues within agreed procedural guidelines  Customers / Stakeholders  - Manage the relationship between Risk and internal Data Management teams, regional Risk offices, third party suppliers and AMG IT.  - Assess change requests from local Risk Managers and review integrity of locally applied data amendments.  - Measurement through feedback from key stakeholders and regional teams  - Continuing engagement with regional teams and key stakeholders  Leadership & Teamwork  - Effectively manage risk data activities assigned by Risk Managers across regional teams and global functions.   - Measurement through feedback from key stakeholders and regional teams  - Continuing engagement with regional teams and key stakeholders  The jobholder will work with Risk Analytics and Reporting Manager to continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology where required.   This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.   Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.  Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)  The jobholder will assist in adhering to and being able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.  The jobholder will assist with implementing the Group compliance policy if requested by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term - compliance- embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.   This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Minimum requirements of the role.)  Any Graduate or MBA (F)  - 7+ years relevant experience in the investment funds industry with significant exposure to data management   - Strong database administrator skills combined with SQL and other coding abilities.  - Strong data analysis capabilities (utilising SQL /VBA etc)  - Excellent Excel skills (vlookup, index, match, pivot etc)  - Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal  - Good understanding of testing methodology / triage process / working with suppliers  - Deep understanding of various asset classes- (Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Swaps, Futures, FX) structure, data setup and valuation methods  - Strong data handling / error trapping / output verification skills  - Sound knowledge of risk data requirements and methodology supporting instrument pricing mechanisms. A good depth of experience with investment products, asset management and fund structures.  - Good management skills and understanding project disciplines  - Preferable qualifications: FRM/PRM/CFA
