- This position will be an integral part of the HR team and will be responsible for all Core HR activities for the region.
- The primary responsibilities would include talent acquisition, process facilitation, employee hand holding and employee connect.
- The position will closely liaison with HR Representatives of various departments at Corporate office.
Overview of the HR Structure at SBI General Insurance:
The HR is divided into four major verticals:
- Core HR: Responsible for Talent Acquisition, OD, Corporate HR, HR Business partnership
- Learning & Development: Responsible for employee training as well as training of specified persons at the bank and agents selling our products
- HR Operations: Responsible for payroll management, leave & attendance management, employee database management, letter generation, statutory compliance & audit
- Administration: Responsible for all administrative affairs including travel desk.
- The position will be responsible for Core HR deliverables for the defined geography and will be based in Delhi/ Kolkata.
- The role would require the incumbent to travel for about 3-4 days in a month.

Position Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & On Boarding:
- Responsible for manpower requirements of the region
- Work closely with the HR lead at corporate for campus hiring and represent HR in campus recruitments in the region.
HR Process Facilitation and Training:
- Conduct road shows for HR Process and handhold employees in the region (Branch Manager/ Vertical Heads of Sales, Operations Underwriting and Claims) at the branches in the HR processes, viz.
- Performance Management System
- Promotions
- Confirmations
- Transfer
- Relieving
- Drive employee engagement activities and culture initiative rollout in the region
- Required to act as effective back up for HR Business Partner whenever required
Employee Champion:
- Maintaining employee connect and good employee relations
- Resolving employee queries & grievances
- Provide ground level feedback to Head Office
- Be part of interviews as HR panel member in Final Interview
Others Core HR Activities:
- Undertake investigations (if any) as directed by VP- HR. These may relate to integrity, fraud, mis-conduct related issues.
HR Analytics & Reporting:
- Monthly HR Update for the region and sharing the same with Branch Managers and Corporate HR
- Analysis of HR trends for the region and sharing of the same with recommendations
- Conducting competitor analysis
Project Management of Assigned Projects:
- Overall Project Management for project assigned by VP- HR
- Linking the projects to Company’s bottom line
- Managing overall Logistics planning & budget.
The projects would be decided based on business need and relevance. These may include; Career planning, Benchmarking, Balanced Score Card Roll Out etc.
Learning Interventions:
- Delivery of New Employee Orientation (NEO) program for all new joinees in the region (typically once a month)
- Organise ‘Learning Saturdays’ in the region.
Learning Saturday is a concept, where in, celebrity speakers are called to address senior team members. The topics may vary from technical subjects to industry best practices to motivational address.
- Organise training program in the region in absence of a training manager.
