Procurement Risk Management Analyst/Manager

- The candidate would work independently on forecasting and predictive modelling, econometric models, data analysis and developing commodity risk management framework, and several data enabled business projects of research and analytics in supply chain risk. The role would reports to senior manager/people manager.

- The incumbent would be the go to person to provide end-to-end analytics solution to the business stake-holders for the engagement.

- The incumbent would be working on various strategic initiatives across engagement/teams and or commercial projects, to provide analytics solutions.

- As a part of role incumbent have to provide customized analysis on industry and strategic decisions to L3/L2 leads.

- Have to communicate effectively to stakeholders on the progress of work and various initiatives running under him/her.

- Incumbent also need to be part of various business calls to understand the business, provide analytics perspective and to present the findings of analysis/solutions.

- Incumbent should be well versed with time series econometric, regression, ARIMA, Vector auto regressive Models and various data analysis techniques.

- The key requirement for the role is the ability to work with data, understand the project objectives, undertake analysis to accomplish project objectives and present the results in a coherent manner.

- The individual should possess the ability to work in teams and display a proactive learning attitude. The incumbent would require knowledge of PC component markets and key happenings though not mandatory.

- Additionally, incumbent must have very good oral and written communication skills, managing time on simultaneous business projects, team bonding, co-learning, positive attitude, and seeing big picture attitude.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, own and track, predictive pricing models for various commodities (PC industry commodities such as Memory, HDD, LCD etc) using best-in-class models and techniques

- Analytic Project Execution: Own and deliver consistently on multiple and complex analytic projects. This would require an understanding of business context and the ability to formulate and execute analytic approaches to address the business situation

- Be part of special team to work on commercial projects outside organization

- Independently handle any ad-hoc analysis request from the senior management/ business partners

- Act as consultative partner with business partners and provide analytics support on various business initiatives

- Be part of regular business calls with business partners, commodity managers to understand business dynamics and present analytics views

- Work on regular engagement deliverable

- Develop cross site relationships to enhance leverage of ideas. Set and manage partner expectations

- Explore market dynamics of the commodity to have edge over market outlook

- Work cross team projects based on the skill set compatibility

- Contribute to innovation drive with white papers and external recognition

- Conduct occasional knowledge sharing sessions with team members

- Skill-development and mentoring of the junior team members

Experience, Education, and Skills :

- PhD/M.A./Msc in Economics (desirable), Statistics, Econometric, Mathematics, Operations Research from Tier 1 institute (DSE, MSE, IITs, JNU, ISI,IISc, and other top tier quantitative institutes). PhDs will be added advantage.

- At least 3-6 years of work experience in analytics and consulting role preferably in predictive modelling, statistical analysis and solution development

- Experience in project management and end-to-end project execution

- Experience in time series/econometric forecasting (price, demand)

- Understanding of Bayesian statistics, vector auto regressive modelling, regressions (linear and nonlinear), game theory approach, linear optimization, Chaid analysis, machine learning is desirable.

- (Must) Base programming proficiency in SAS or R

- Strong Analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability

- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills

- Should be self-motivated and able to deliver on tight timelines

- Knowledge of PC & Server industry is a plus

- Knowledge of procurement and supply-chain basics is a plus

- Strong relationships attributes working with Mid-Level or Senior Level management.

- The candidate will be located in Bangalore.

Work timings : 11 AM to 7:30 PM MON to FRI
